Description
For a wonderful stay in Twente, Droste's Dineren en Logeren (dining and lodging) is an excellent choice. This small boutique hotel has a rural setting an the edge of the town Tubbergen. With one of the available cycle or walking routes in your hand, you can explore the landscape. Besides nature, the environment also features nice museums and workshops. By car you reach the German border in an instance as well and there you'll find the spa of Bad-Bentheim.
In the hotel you will stay in a loft room or patio room. The loft rooms come in various sizes, but they each have a modern interior. The small and medium loft rooms have a glass shower cabin and the large loft rooms have a large bath and an extra washbasin.
A rural interior with modern details you will find in the patio rooms, that all come with a small balcony or terrace. The patio rooms have a bathroom with a bathtub, a separate shower and a toilet. The hotel has no elevator, but staff gladly helps you carry your luggage. Aside from a sleeping in the hotel, you can have meetings as and enjoy lovely dishes as well.
Food and Drinks
In the spacious Wintertuin (winter garden) the breakfast is served. In this high sun room you can have breakfast Monday through Saturday between 07:00 and 10:00 h. and on Sundays from 08:00 to 10:30 h.
The Wintertuin can also be booked for a dinner with a group. Droste's has an excellent restaurant, where you can enjoy culinary dishes n an informal atmosphere. On the versatile menu you will find both typical Dutch dishes as well as Mediterranean specialties. There is also a regularly changing menu.
The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from noon to 21:00 h. and on weekends from 14:00 to 21:00 h.
In the Grand Café, you can take a seat at the reading table or on the terrace and enjoy a cappuccino and a piece of cake or a glass of wine. Here, they also serve dishes from the snack menu as well. There is a billiards table, and there is a fireplace where you can drink an aperitif. The Grand Cafe is open until 01:00 h.

The countryside of Twente surrounds Droste's Dineren en Logeren. The cycle tracks and hiking trails nearby lead you along the characteristic landscape and beautiful natural scenery, such as the heath Vasserheide. In and around Tubbergen you'll also find nice and museums (art) galleries. By car, Almelo can be reached in a small half hour.
