In Het Farm ? House Twijzelerheide you can truly enjoy your holiday. The old farm dates back from 1916 and was restored and stands in the middle of the lakes and woods of the province of Fryslan. Since some of the facilities in this small-scale hotel are shared with other guests, getting into contact with others is easy. For instance the lounge is such a place; there's a television, a sitting area, radio and CD player and a cupboard with games. In this lounge breakfast is served as well. Het Farm ? House has 4 double rooms with private shower and toilet. In addition 2 family rooms with a double bed and bunkbeds with toilet and shower down the hall. All rooms have satellite television or Digitenne.
Outside it's wonderful, many terraces in the magnificent large garden, perfect for a barbecue in summer and when it's really hot weather, a kids pool is set up here. Very special is the protected natural water on the ground s of the hotel. This is a so-called Pingo, a place where game came to drink and this place wasd formed during the last ice age. This beautiful Frysian area has not yet been ruined by mass tourism; the authentic peace and quiet of the old days can still be found here. Nice outings in the area surrounding the hotel are to the lake Bergumermeer and the characteristic village of Dokkum are the internationally known herb garden Kruidhof. A swimming pool and horseback riding facilities are also nearby. The hotel has a bicycle rental as well. The friendly city of Leeuwarden lies within 20 kilometers of the hotel.
Food and Drinks
Each morning an extensive breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00h. I consultation with the hotel it's possible to have breakfast at a different time. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in one of the many restaurants in the area for instance in Leeuwarden, Dokkum of Zwaagwesteinde, which is nearer.

Surroundings
Obviously the vaste are of the Farm ? House Twijzelerheide is a beautiful starting point for cycling or walking tours. You can do a part of the famous 11-city skating race by bicycle, for example from Leeuwarden to Bolsward, Sneek and Ijlst. Or visit Stavoren near the coast of the lake Ijsselmeer, where the legend of the 'girl of Stavoren' still has an important cultural value. Sailers, surfers and other lovers of watersports will definitely enjoy the fact that water is plenty in Fryslan. Leeuwarden is a lively and nice city for shopping and going out.

- The hotel has two family rooms, these are suitable for a maximum of two adults and 2 children. An extra bed on a double room is not possible. A maximum of one small child can stay in the parents' room for free, if they make use of the existing bedding in the room. The existing bedding in a double room are not suitable for two adult and an older child.
