Upon entering, it´s immediately apparent that art plays a crucial role in Mary K Hotel´s interior. Decorative elements from 3DECO Design cover the walls in the entrance. You only have to follow the crystals to find your way to Reception. The walls and spaces in the hotel function as exhibition areas for artists. They´ll surprise you with each returning visit.
Hotel owner Mary K is concerned with creating a better environment and an honest world. From breakfast to water efficient showerheads, she strives to source as many environmentally friendly materials and organic/fairtrade products as possible. Without even noticing, you´ll also be making a contribution towards a better environment: simply by spending a night at this hotel.
No two rooms are the same, although they all feature a television and DVD, free WiFi, telephone, hairdryer, minibar, fairtrade and organic bed and bath linen, tea and coffee making facilities and box-spring beds. The rooms come with a comfortable bathroom including a large walk-in shower or a bath. Some even have both.
Food and Drinks
You can enjoy breakfast on weekdays from 08:00 - 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 - 11:00.
The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. However, you will find plenty of restaurants along the Oudegracht canal. Utrecht is a vibrant student city and has a wide array of bars.

Surroundings
You can reach the Neude and Dom squares from the Mary K Hotel within a few minutes walk. For the best view of Utrecht you can climb the Dom tower on a guided tour. In the city centre are plenty of shops, ranging from the well-known high street stores to quaint boutiques. To re-energise while shopping, you can have lunch or a drink at one of the restaurants located in the wharf-basements on the Oudegracht canal.
