Very friendly staff, good value and excellent location. I will recommens this Hotel.

The canal view is fantastic in the Breakfast room, you could do more to enhance the garden and make a little bit more of the view.

Quite close to the city, with nice decor in the breakfast room and a clean bathroom.

The bed in a single room was extremely small, and few blankets meant I was quite cold at night. There is no lift in the hotel, so the steep stairs are quite frightening to navigate with a suitcase, and an offer to help from staff was unconvincing and unfriendly.

Good Value

Good service. The breakfast was great and plenty. The room was very clean. A good choice in Utrecht within the price range, and since I got a discount the value was greater.

Excellent organic breakfast; reasonably clean and comfortable room; close to UU.

Kind of far from the centrum; next to train tracks (although they are not extremely busy, they are at times quite loud); hotel aesthetics in need of an update. Overall, not bad but not great.

I would stay again

I would consider this a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. It was clean and considering the price compared to the other hotels in Utrecht was good value. The best point was the free wireless internet which many other hotels will charge for, and it was about 15 minutes good pace walk to the city centre. Very quiet and I would stay again , the front staff were very helpful and reception is open until approximately 11pm. Double room was a good size.

Beds need a better mattress. Very steep stairs if you are elderly or have large luggage please think carefully.

The location of this hotel (?) makes up for its anachronisms.

The location suited our needs precisely, but others might prefer a more central location.

Comes across more like a large Bed-and-Breakfast establishment, and not a Hotel, making it relatively poor value for money. Awkward stairs as the hotel is a series of adjacent, but internally unjoined, houses. Limited breakfast choice.

The staff was lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and all the facilities advertised were provided. The breakfast was huge! The hotel is in a calm and very pretty area.

It's a bit far from the city centre but easy to reach by foot nevertheless. The stairs to the rooms are very steep!

The Hotel is conveniently located. Breakfast is excellent. (9.30, however, is too early for the termination of the breakfast serving.10.00 would have been much more convenient for us.)

The absence of the receptionist during late hours in the evening should be emphasized in the hotel ads. This is vitally important.If we had not a son at the University of Utrecht we could not enter the hotel upon our arrival late at night! Heating in the hotel is not sufficient!!!

The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are quiet. Breakfast is excellent, although it could be served until 10.00. 9.30 was a bit too early for us.

There is nobody at the reception in the evenings. Due to our program we arrived at the hotel at 1.00 am. Luckyly our sun lives in Utrecht and, thank God, he had checked us in and obtained the keys. This point should be emphasized in the advertisments of the hotel. Heating was very poor!

The stairs are very difficult. There is no lift. So if you are carrying weight suitcases is very difficult to carry them.

From a price point of view the Ouwi was very good. They provide a good breakfast each morning and free wireless internet. More expensive hotels in Utrecht do not include these. It is very handy to a bus stop on and is only about 6 stops from Utrecht Central Station or a pleasant 25 minute walk through the city. The staff are very nice. Given the choice of some of the 4 star hotels and if I was staying in Utrecht by myself again I would consider staying there in preference to the more expensive hotels.

I wish it was a 3 star. The rooms are nice but basic.

I tried to check in a bit early and they were very accommodating. That was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean.

Good location to travel to WKZ children's hospital on number 11 bus. Or go towards central where shops/restaurants/cimena on bike/foot or bus stop right outside. Ask for 'Oorsprongpark' bus stop for the hotel. Service friendly and efficient. Great filling breakfasts of breads, cheese, cold meats, egg, yoghurt, tea/coffee and juice. nice view of canal from room.

The beds were just turned over it seemed and not quite dusted down. One towel seemed a bit dirty, but this was replaced instantly.

Great breakfast, very quiet location, you get to fall to sleep to the background sound of singing birds.

I moved the bedside cabinet to use it as a desk for my computer. I wish I hadn't done that, as the quantity of piled dustball underneath it was quite revolting... Should hoover more thoroughly.
