Anonymous Standard hotel - nice and clean: 5 September 2011; 7.0; + Conveniently located next to Central Station in Utrecht; Got a nice package deal with breakfast, wine/chocolates in the room and late check out included; friendly receptionist and comfortable bed; quite big bath in the room; - As the hotel is located next to Central Station - the view from the windows is on a quite busy street. There are no smoking rooms to choose. We've got a package deal but until we've mentioned that to the receptionist - it wasn't considered. Movies on demand - free previews for all of them didn't work. Mini bar was empty in the room - only to be filled in on request. Parking of the hotel was expensive but not secured - there is a big sign saying "watch out for thieves". If you pay quite much to park you would at least expect to have your car secured... The bartender at the hotel needs a bartender training - putting your finger inside the martini bottle while pourring a drink is definitely not according to high bartender standards

Chris Johnston Pleasant hotel for either business or pleasure: 21 August 2011; 7.8; + A comfortable and friendly hotel. The rooms were spacious enough and offered free internet access. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout. The breakfast menu was sufficiently varied with different hot food on offer each day. Oh, and the bar does superb coffee for a very reasonable price!; - The hotel isn't situated in the prettiest of locations but it is handy if you have arrived by train (5 minutes walk from the central station).

Anonymous Not really value for your money ...: 21 May 2011; 5.6; + Close to the centre of Utrecht. Walking distance.; - Windows cannot open. Room smelled awkward, not fresh at all. Interior of the room looks old fashioned and used. You don't hear the trains of the nearby train station, but you can feel the vibrations when lying in bed, which is also disturbing for a good nights sleep. Difficulties to make staff understand that you want a double room and not a twin room, finally you give up as the only option seems to be to accept the twin room.

Marjan Praktische optie, niet gezellig.: 29 March 2010; 7.4; + Praktisch hotel, op loopafstand van het station.; - Het was in onze ogen net geen 4-sterren waardig. Er ontbrak te veel. Minibar was niet bijgevuld, lampjes boven het bed deden het niet, flesje met bodylotion was half leeg en men was het citypakket vergeten op de kamer te leggen. De kamer was vrij warm en de ramen kunnen niet open. Airco deed het gelukkig wel.

Brian: 12 January 2009; 7.4; + Very close to the main railway station.; - Service in the restaurant was poor, and the radiator was turned off in the room even though it was -3 outside, which meant that the room was cold. When you turned the radiator on, it was buried behind the full length curtains.

Stumpel Goed bevallen: 31 August 2008; 8.8; + modern interieur, schone en ruime kamer, goed verzorgd ontbijbuffet; - Extra belasting a 4 euro moeten betalen bij uitchecken. Dit komt niet zo sympathiek over. Prima om die 4 euro belasting te betalen, maar dan vooraf. Als ik vooraf de kamer betaal, wil ik alles meteen geregeld hebben en niet nog achteraf voor zo'n klein bedrag lastig worden gevallen. Dringend advies dus om die belasting meteen in de prijs bij het boeken mee te nemen.
