The staff of Hotel Schaepkens van St. Fyt welcomes you. This family hotel is situated in the beautiful Valkenburg a/d Geul in the hills of the Dutch province of Limburg. In this lovely decor numerous hiking paths and bicycle routes guide you along castles, quarries, caves and along the Geul river. Besides beautiful surroundings Valkenburg offers attractions for people of all ages. Children can for instance enjoy themselves in the amusement parks 'Pretpark de Valkenier', the fairytale theme park 'Sprookjesbos' or at the toboggan run at the tower 'Wilhelminatoren'. For a day of relaxation 'Thermae 2000' offers you a wide range of thermal pools and different health treatments.
The name of the hotel is derived from the family name of the original owners, who founded the hotel in 1885. Through the years there have been a couple of improvements to bring the building up to date. Outside the hotel guests can enjoy the lovely garden and sit in the sun on one of the outside terraces. There are three elevators in the hotel, which makes the hotel accessible for disabled people as well. Guests can park their car for free at the hotel's private parking space. The rooms have amenities such as a bath or shower, a toilet, television and a free safe. In the hall on the ground floor hotel guests can make free use of a PC and in this area there is wireless Internet as well. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with a defibrillator (hart reanimation devise) and a separate smokers-room.
Please note: As from March 2010, guests can make free use of the Polfermolen in Valkenburg. This is only 700 meters from the hotel. Guests can use the swimming pool, sauna, fitness and tennis court.
Food and Drinks
The breakfast buffet is set up in the restaurant from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 10:00 h. and during the weekend between 08:00 and 10:30h. On request breakfast is available from 06:00 h. From 12:00 h. you can have in the restaurant and in the evening there is a dinner buffet between 18:00 and 20:00 h. Off-season an à la carte menu replaces the buffet. During the season the staff organise all sorts of activities. One can regularly enjoy live performances, barbeques and two times a day there is a happy hour in the bar. The bar is open from 11:30 h. to closing time. The staff can help you organise all sorts of parties and meetings.

Guests can use free wireless Internet in Categorie II rooms. In the hall on the ground floor you can make free use of a PC and wireless Internet.

- The hotel has a 24-hour reception. Please notify the reception in case you will arrive after 18:00 h.

Valkenburg is an ideal holiday destination with its numerous attractions. With the cable-way you can reach the top of the tower 'Wilhelminatoren', which offers a lovely view of Valkenburg and its surroundings. The daredevils can make their way down swiftly with the toboggan run. In the fairytale park 'Sprookjesbos' and amusement park 'Pretpark de Valkenier' children can enjoy themselves all day long in numerous attractions. A visit to the 'Fluweelengrot' cave, or to the ruins of a castle, the 'Kasteelruïne', top off a stay in Valkenburg.
