Hotel Thermae 2OOO lies in the hills in the province of Limburg, on the slope of the hill 'Cauberg' near Valkenburg. In the beautiful scenery one can find some peace and quiet in the hotel and the thermal baths. The spacious, modern hotel rooms have a garden terrace and some rooms offer a splendid view of the castle ruins or of the valley. The rooms have bathing facilities with mineral water. There are several possibilities in the hotel to order healthy drinks, light meals or an extensive dinner.
A stay of one night allows guests to visit Thermae 2OOO on both the arrival and departure day. Wearing your bathrobe you can walk along the hallway to the thermal baths, that opens exlusively for hotel guests at 08:00 h., which is an hour before the other guests arrive. Thermae 2000 is a Spa & Wellness centre with the healing quality of thermal water. Besides indoor and outdoor baths there are massage beams, whirlpools, different types of saunas and a Turkish steambath. There are a number of face and body treatments and massages available, which need to be booked in advance.
Food and Drinks
The extensive breakfast buffet is a good start of the day, before one visits the thermal baths.
The buffet is available on Monday through Friday between 08:00 and 10:00 h., on the weekend and on holidays from 07:30 to 11:00 h. Besides a good breakfast the hotel offers several possibilities to enjoy a drink and a lunch or dinner.
Wearing their bathrobe guests can visit 'Brasserie The Lounge', which is open daily from 10:30 h. At the fireplace one can enjoy a cocktail of fruits or a nice glass of wine. From 12:00 h. guests can order a light meal here.
'Bar Delight' has a modern interior and an outside terrace, which offers a view of the 'Geul' river valley. On the menu one can find delicious juices, smoothies, healthy snacks and cocktails. The bar is open every day from 10:00 h.
From the cosy 'Grand Café Fresh', which is open daily from 09:00 h., one can enjoy a view of the thermal baths. Besides a lovely piece of pie the staff also serve soup, salads and sandwiches.
In 'Restaurant Pure' guests can enjoy culinary delights. The menu changes with the seasons and always offers several dishes from the region. This restaurant is open every day from 17:45 h. During summertime one can also enjoy a dinner on the outside terrace.

In the city centre there is a ruin of a castle and underneath the hill 'Cauberg' one can visit the cave 'Gemeentegrot'. Several biking and hiking tracks lead you along the surrounding hills and villages. Next to Hotel Thermae 2OOO there is a casino.
