Family-run hotel Tummers is supported by a rich tradition which is embedded in the dedicated service of the Tummers family since 1930. Hotel Tummers combines the hospitality of the Limburg region with an eye for detail. The former marl stone building has been replaced, although the characteristic tower was preserved. Opposite the hotel lies the picturesque train station, from where historical trips with a steam locomotive can be arranged.

The rooms are tastefully and romantically designed and have extra long beds. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower, bath and toilet. In addition, the rooms have a flat screen television, telephone, safe, hair dryer and minibar. Furthermore, the hotel offers several massages and treatments. The hotel has private parking and is suitable for guests who travel by motorcycle.

Surroundings

The surroundings of Hotel Tummers are very popular among hiking and cycling enthusiasts. There are many routes and the variety in scenery and panoramic views never cease to amaze. A unique way to discover the scenery is a tour by steam locomotive on the 'miljoenenlijn' railroad track. Those who enjoy wellness will certainly enjoy the thermal baths of Thermae 2000 in Valkenburg. Children can use the luge run and play at themepark 'Sprookjesbos'.

The extensive intercontinental breakfast buffet is served on weekdays between 07:30 and 10:30 h and on weekends between 08:00 and 11:00 h. Restaurant Tummers has a well-established reputation, many guests return here to enjoy the French oriented kitchen. The chef adds the ingredient of creativity by using region and season bound products. Guests can choose one of the delicious dishes or combine choices from the à la carte menu. The menu changes with the seasons and is accompanied by a fine selection of wines.

Polite staff, inferior room
  • + Extremely friendly staff, very accommodating and eager to help. Located across the street from the train station, very convenient.
  • – The beds in my room were extremely small and uncomfortable, the building was cold and drafty. Only 3 channels on tv, all dutch, no english.

  • + We stayed in a double room which you may see Holland Casino from the balcony. The room was very clean, expeially the bathroom that you feel free to enjoy the tub bath. The bed was comfortable. Rich breakfast.

  • + Good location as across the train station. Parking for the bikes under the hotel. Very good services from the family. Huge breakfast; you can't complain.
