Hotel Wilhelmina is located across from the train station in Venlo, a city in the province Limburg. Many satisfied guests have been welcomed to this old-fashionedly good hotel, with its excellent restaurant. The city of Venlo offers culture and entertainment and the surroundings offer nature and quiet.
Hotel Wilhelmina has offered hospitality to travellers and tourists since 1882. This tradition is expressed in all that the hotel has to offer: high-quality service from a professional staff, and the presence of many excellent facilities. The restaurant in particular demands much admiration. Here you can comfortably and quietly enjoy the chef's culinary talents. The hotel is located across from the train station and is easily reached by car, because of the proximity of the A67 and A73 motorways.
In the restaurant guests can have coffee and a piece of pie. In the afternoon one can partake in an extensive High Tea. The atmospheric bar of the hotel is also a pleasant place to sit and have a drink. It serves various good regional speciality beers and excellent wines.
All of the comfortable rooms have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. The rooms also have a hair dryer, television (pay-TV), radio, a sitting area, and a wireless broadband Internet connection through KPN Hotspots.

The breakfast buffet is served daily between 07:00 and 10:00 h.
In the classically designed restaurant guests can have lunch, brunch, or dinner. It serves dishes for which guests will gladly return. Among other things, it has a 'Burgundian' three-course regional menu. It is also possible to order à la carte and choose the superb regional fish or meat dishes. Seasonal delicacies, such as mushrooms and asparagus, are also on the menu. For children there is a special children's menu and for the smallest guests there are also games and a children's chair.

- An extremely large bedroom and bathroom. Very good location. Bed very comfortable. An excellent breakfast
- We were disappointed with the limited range of TV programmes, and would have expected a broader range such as BBC World, and being so close to the German border, at least the main German TV programmes. For the price we paid we were disappointed not to have coffee making facilities in the room, and in this day and age I do not believe anyone should have to pay for an internet connection. The bathroom was huge but there were no hooks near the sink to hang a towel on. The shower screen was inadequate allowing water to leak all over the bathroom floor.

- Excellent service. We wanted food aft6er the concert we were involved in and the hotel staff, who were always very friendly, went out of their way to help us after the kitchen was closed. Top marks for that ! We are also grateful that the hotel allowed us to leave our car in the car park after check out, which enabled us to enjoy the delights of our first visit to Venlo without worrying about car parking. A big thank you to Richard and his colleagues.

- Very friendly staff. Very short walk to the town centre and directly opposite the railway station. Evening meal was delicious and breakfast was good.
- Bedroom, though clean, was basic and appeared quite dark and had a musty smell. We had a lamp that didn't work and one with a broken lampshade. Our bedroom which was on the ground floor was accessible through the breakfast room, up a step and through a couple of doors with narrow corridors on the other side. With a baby in a pushchair, it was difficult to get to, without a second person helping to open doors etc.

- Despite the small size, the rooms had a bath. Very good location, near the train station and main high street. Good restaurant and bar.
- Small rooms with basic equipment. Tacky plastic cups in the bathroom - are we not trusted with proper glasses? Admittedly, this is only a 3-star hotel - but I have slept in better. The room's safe was inoperable, also security could have been better. The room doors have to be locked upon entry or strangers can wander in (this did happen!). When returning to our room, I was astonished to see the room door propped open with a towel whilst the cleaning lady was in - I had an expensive camera on the table in clear view of any opportunist thief.

- kamer 103 :veel te klein.We konden onze 2 koffers amper kwijt in een hoek van de kamer.
Geen mogelijkheid om naast mijn bed mijn bril neer te leggen.

- BEREIKBAARHEID IS GOED. Kamers zijn voorzien van alles wat nodig is.
- De reuk/hygiene is wisselend per kamer (wij hebben er 3 overnachtingen gehad in korte tijd)Er zat de laatste keer gaten in de lakens.
Het ontbijt is zeer matig. Geen verse jus dórange (1e keer zelfs automaat kapot). Geen croissaints. Laatste keer geen variatie in brood en broodjes waren op.

- Wij waren er maar een dag, maar die ene nacht beviel ons prima. Goede bedden op kamer 210 en super schone badkamer

- Well situated, opposite the railway station a short walk to te city center and shops.
Exceptionally helpfull and friendly bar and restaurant staff.
- Breakfast was disappointing, someone needs to explain to the kitchen staff how to cook bacon. (it was burnt and left to swim in it's own fat)
All hotels need basic bedrooms, ours was too basic - in need of renovation. The tiny TV was simply a source of light and sound - too small and too far from the bed.

- Nette Leute an der Reception. Hilfsbereit. Frühstück sehr große Auswahl und lecker. Frühstücksraum sehr ansprechend.

Also wir waren jetzt bestimmt schon 6-7 mal in diesem Hotel Gast und wir müssen leider sagen, dass der Standart der Zimmer immer schlechter wird. Die Preise dazu aber immer höher. Das Bad hat Schimmel. (Alter, harter Schimmel !) Die Wände haben dicke Risse, der Teppichboden ist dreckig und die ganze Atmosphäre in den Zimmern
(waren jedesmal in einem anderen...) ist leider langsam eher drittklassig. Für 175 Euro (Inkl. Tax) für 2 Nächte kann man mehr erwarten. Renovierungen sind seit langem fällig !!!! Wir werden deswegen ein paar Jahre Pause machen und dieses Hotel nicht mehr besuchen ! Grüße
