Super for walkers and cyclists.
  • + Wide selection for breakfast Staff quick to respond when we got back late with no key.
  • (Groups)
Good stay
  • + Excellent service.
  • (Travelling alone)
A night in an owen
  • + Location close to woods.
  • Old-fashioned décoration, a shabby bathroom which definitely requires cleaning if not redoing. Very basic breakfast, in need of professional coaching...
  • (Young couples)
Old glory.
  • The hotel looks very worn and tired, so does the personnel. It seemed to me it is in dire straits, as only half the lights were going, even in the room. As far as I could see there were hardly any guests, but by acting the way they do they certainly do not make the few, that were there feeling welcome. All amenities were working though. But no mini bar, no WLAN, After a long search we found a socket to charge the mobile. So all in all a bit disappointing.
  • * my tip There are lots of similar hotels in the area, so just have a good look online.
  • (Other)
  • + mooi gelegen.
  • teveel verkeerslawaai. Maak er 30 km wegen van de wegen welke aan 2 zijden van het hotel passeren.
  • * my tip enjoy your time seeing the surroundings
  • (Young couples)
Nice hotel for a pleaseat stay
  • + Nice restaurant for a pleasant stay. Excellent Breakfast.
  • * my tip located near the Kröller-Müller Museum.
  • (Young couples)
Far from the madding crowds
  • + If you like a cosy hotel in the middle of the woods far from the madding crowds, then this is the place for you. The "superior room" was clean and bed was very comfortable. Restaurant had a very nice set menu with dear and wild pig on it. Autumn is a beautiful time of year to visit.
  • A little pricey. The meals and bike rental basically doubled the cost of the stay. Also, if you want a choice of restaurants within walking distance, this is not the place for you. The nearest sauna complex is about 30 mins drive away in Veenendaal.
  • * my tip Hoge Veluwe is about a 90 minute bike ride away (20 mins by car), and is a 'must-visit'.
  • (Young couples)
  • (Travelling alone)
Good quality hotel for very good price!
  • (Travelling alone)
Goede service, niet modern, maar heerlijke bedden en ruime kamer
  • + hele ruime kamers
  • (Travelling alone)
Very beautiful surroundings close to Wageningen.
  • + Very beautiful surroundings of a forest, lounge and bar area. The room cleaning staff do an excellent job. Free and easy to access wireless broadband. The hotel rents out bicycles at a very cheap price to get to town about 15 minutes away.
  • The evening food menu is limited to either a three course meal or a small choice of fairly expensive main courses. As a business traveller, a small menu of burger, pasta, entrecote or equally standard meals would have been great. Luckily such meals are readily available in Wageningen town.
  • (Travelling alone)
Tasty bacon - great breakfast
  • + Bacon
  • Internet
  • (Other)
one night's cosy course rest in the woods
  • + loung pub is very cosy bar stayed open even we were the only 2 late guests late arrival possible (course end)
  • smell in the hotelroom was moulded cieling was damaged no thermostatic handle in the shower
  • (Families with older children)
Good old fashioned Dutch style, serving good food.
  • + Old fashioned Dutch, pleasant seating areas to sit with drink and relax or chat with friends. Set in beautiful woodland area although close to amenities, Wageningen centre close by with lovely town square full of shops and eating places. Very comfortable beds. Lots of room in the family room.
  • The bedroom decor a little dated but clean. Some artwork on the bedroom walls would have softened the atmosphere.
  • (Travelling alone)
Old hotel has charm and excellent facilities and service
  • + Spacious room and bathroom, free wifi, pleasant breakfast.
  • You need a car to get there
  • (Travelling alone)
nice hotel for a weekend
  • + relaxing place, good location for a weekend, goog food, wi-fi without problems
  • pretty cold room (took one day to heat the room), not the ideal location for visiting Wageningen
  • (Travelling alone)
pretty good
  • + Great location
  • Old fashioned rooms, a lot of smoke in hall way. Smoking rooms were close to main desk.
  • (Travelling alone)
relaxing place to stay
  • + nice and calm location, hotel with a personal touch, my double room was comfortable and generous, restaurant is really good, very friendly servive
  • refill of the breakfast buffet was very slow. several items were not available anymore when I came in at 7:30
  • (Families with older children)
  • + location and quitness
  • noice of the fan in the bathroom
  • (Older couples)
Hotel deserves no more than three stars
  • + position in the middle of a forest
  • Poor breakfast bar, bathroom of the Nineteenseventies
  • (Travelling alone)
Friendly in the forest
  • + Friendly staff, good food
  • Poor WiFi
  • (Travelling alone)
Poor links to public transport
  • (Friends)
Nice hotel for relaxing
  • + Nice environment Good breakfast buffet
  • None (there was a double booing mentioned at check-in, but room was immediately available)
  • (Travelling alone)
Beautiful area but worn rooms
  • + Beautiful surroundings (in a forest). The restaurant is fantastic. The staff is very helpful & friendly.
  • Although the room was clean it was also old and worn. The terrace door did not close well.
  • (Young couples)
  • + Beautiful hotel, very nice rooms, excellent lounge area
  • Very limited offer of TV channels, breakfast could offer more variety
