Hotel de Wageningsche Berg is the appropriate name of this hotel, as it is located on a hill that has the same name. Here you may still find traces of its earliest inhabitants in the Middle Ages. From this altitude, you will have a spectacular view of the Nederrijn river and the surrounding woods. Around Wageningen you can go for a nice long walk, for instance in the river bank reserve De Blauwe Kamer. This nature reserve is the habitat of different species of birds and fish. The entire watershed of the Rijn river is beautiful to behold in all seasons. Wageningen is also close to the old city Arnhem, where you can take a boat tour on the Maas and Waal rivers.
