Good, if you like being treated like a criminal
  • + Clean, decent breakfast (no toaster)
  • Treated like a criminal - they require you to pay upfront in full for your stay. Need a hairdryer? 10 euro deposit. Ice? You have to have it in a plastic bag because you might steal a glass. And 10 mins after checking-out you aren't allowed to use the laundry because you are no longer a guest. Disgusting.

Good value hotel well situated for visiting Wageningen University
  • + This is a convenient location for anyone visiting Wageningen University. Staff at reception were very helpful. Food at the restaurant was very good and staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly.
  • 1. Guests should not have to pay for their stay on arrival and then pay a separate bill for any room charges on departure. This means that international guests get two transaction charges rather than one. Most hotels are happy for guests to settle the whole bill at the end of the stay. 2. Guests should have the following faciltiies in their rooms: hairdryer, ironing board and iron, tea/coffee. It was annoying to have to come down to reception and pay a deposit to get a hairdryer.

Lots of hair clogging shower plug hole
  • + Not far from the centre, and one of the closer hotels to Wageningen University. Not terribly expensive. Breakfast was pretty decent, and free internet available.
  • Very dusty, grubby room. The shower quickly filled up water due to a disgusting quantity of hair blocking the plug. Also, the plug in the basin was broken.

Two parts to this Hotel
  • + The main hotel is very clean, staff are good, good restaurant area, centrally located
  • There are two parts to this hotel, which we were not aware of, and we were in the other, located at crossroads 200m from main hotel, the foyer/reception is plain, workmen carrying out electrical work, room on 6th floor, I have seen better university halls of residence rooms, desperate need of refurbishment, no reception here, and a trek each morning for breakfast, no umbrellas provided. Not mentioned on booking

on average, good quality stay
  • + quality of the breakfast space in the room.
  • I booked a room especially with two beds and we were finally assigned a room with a double bed, which was definitely ont waht I wanted, however the receptionnist did a very good job and managed to find one with two beds. the room was definitely not perfectly clean as by moving the beds we could see dust that has been down under for a while.

  • + If you want to stay in Wageningen and you do not have car then this is the best location.
  • We were not put in the main hotel. Instead they put us in the "International Residence" down the street. The room was old and run down. The carpets were very dirty and the kitchen smelled like bug spray. We would not stay there again.

A good hotel with a bad restaurant
  • + Reception desk
  • The only bad experience during my stay was the horrible dinner I had at EatCetera Restaurant. The "home made tomato soup" was a tomato sauce and the sirloin steak was tough and the meat full of nerves. Even bread was bad. I couldn't eat it.

  • + a very good breakfast staff understands English
  • room cleaning needs to improve - did not take out trash, one small shower gel per stay that is not replenished, hair drier had to be borrowed at the receiption and was not always available. The staff could be more friendly and apologize when appropriate (towels missing in room). Had to pay for the whole stay at check-in.

  • + I stayed at the same hotel some 8 years ago - and had it in not so good memory. Because of the price I reserved a room again, and was very surprised. You must have thoroughly renovated the place. PLEASE STAY LIKE THIS. P.S. VERY GOOD HOT BREAKFAST. VERY GOOD RAISIN ROLLS AND COFFEE.
