Nature lovers and peace seekers will not be bored in the beautiful river lands. Many walks and bike rides can be made directly from Hotel 't Veerhuis Wamel. An interesting historical town just north of Tiel is Buren. There are many attractions including the church Sint-Lambertuskerk in the middle of the town. This church was opened in 1367 and in 1551 William of Orange married his first wife here, Anna van Buren. Also nice to visit are the gardens of Appeltern, tin factory Alpen and the local museum in Beneden Leeuwen.
