Hotel Groningen-Westerbroek is located in a rural environment and offers luxury and quiet for both tourists and business travellers. Situated along the highway between Groningen and Hoogezand-Sappemeer, the hotel is an excellent accomodation for business, relaxation, and pleasure. By car you can reach the city of Groningen or the train and bus station within 10 minutes.

Hotel Groningen-Westerbroek lies close to the regional town of Westerbroek, in a former peat district that is perfect for walking and bike-riding. The excellent service and hospitality of the hotel staff will ensure a pleasant stay in the hotel. After an active day you can have a nice drink and relax in the bar, or at the outdoor café on sunny days. The restaurant offers many culinary treats with its savoury and varied menu.

The spacious and quiet rooms are equipped with a bathroon with a bath, shower, and toilet. Aditionally, the rooms have a television with cable and a (free) Canal Plus channel, a safe, and a telephone. Hotel Groningen-Westerbroek also has three multifunctional conference rooms that can seat up to 175 persons per room; these are perfect for parties, workshops, and meetings.

By car you can easiliy reach the city of Groningen. Around the city centre there are lovely canals, and plenty of public parking facilities to park your vehicle. From there you can walk into the city centre where you can go shopping, go to the theatre, or visit a museum. The many lively cafés and trendy bars are open until the early hours. These can all be found within close proximity of each other; they are in and around the city centre, where it is very easy to get around.

Food and Drinks

The extensve breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 06:00 to 10:30 h. and on weekends from 07:00 to 11:00 h. Guests have a choice of, among other things, various kinds of bread and sandwich fillings, boiled eggs, juices, and fresh fruit. For lunch and dinner you can visit the atmospheric à la carte The Falcon Restaurant, that can seat 150 persons. The menu boasts classic dishes from the French-Dutch kitchen, as well as the creative specialities of the house. Lovers of fine wines are also well-provided for: the wine menu offers both renowned and new wines from all over the world. As the hotel staff will do their utmost to keep the guests satisfied, the youngest guests will not be forgotten. The restaurant has a children's corner and the menu has a special children's menu. Before and after the meal you are welcome in the atmospheric hotel bar.

Internet

The hotel is equipped with a wireless internet connection (WiFi) through KPN HotSpots. These HotSpots can be found in all the conference rooms, the lobbies, and the restaurants. They are also available in all hotel rooms. To access the internet you can purchase the needed passes from the reception, at €5.95 per 50 minutes

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone needing an overnight stay during 'road trips' since you get maximum comfort and non of the problems with parking, etc. that you may experience with city hotels. The breakfast buffet is great and the dining room and facilities are very clean. The staff is responsive. Our room had a patio and most rooms appear to have either a patio of balcony.; You will need transportation to the center of the city. This hotel is not walking distance to the city center or rail station. However, if you have a car, parking in the city is pretty easy. This is a small price to pay for the lower overall cost and convenience of this hotel.
