Hotel Groningen-Westerbroek lies close to the regional town of Westerbroek, in a former peat district that is perfect for walking and bike-riding. The extensve breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 06:00 to 10:30 h. and on weekends from 07:00 to 11:00 h. Guests have a choice of, among other things, various kinds of bread and sandwich fillings, boiled eggs, juices, and fresh fruit. For lunch and dinner you can visit the atmospheric à la carte The Falcon Restaurant, that can seat 150 persons. The menu boasts classic dishes from the French-Dutch kitchen, as well as the creative specialities of the house. Lovers of fine wines are also well-provided for: the wine menu offers both renowned and new wines from all over the world. As the hotel staff will do their utmost to keep the guests satisfied, the youngest guests will not be forgotten. The restaurant has a children's corner and the menu has a special children's menu. Before and after the meal you are welcome in the atmospheric hotel bar.

The seal rehabilitation centre in Pieterburen is worth a visit. In the hotel's direct surroundings you will find the Zuidlaardermeer, a large lake where you can go sailing or fishing. As you arrive at the train station of the city of Groningen, you will immediately recognize the ultra-modern Groninger Museum, a remarkable design by three famous architects.
