Bilderberg Hotel De Buunderkamp lies in the woods near national park 'De Hoge Veluwe'. A visit to the former royal palace 'Het Loo', the 'Kröller-Müller Museum', or the 'Burger's Zoo' can be easily done. For your relaxation the hotel has a sauna, a Turkish steam bath, and a solarium. Anonymous Lovely stay in a lovely hotel with great staff in a gorgeous setting.: 17 May 2011; 9.6; + Staff were fantastic and service was excellent!!; - There wasn't an option to get a single room which would have been nice and air con would have been good for the hotter weather, also it would have been nice to be able to get out onto the balcony. Not really minus points just things that would have been nice to have.

David Excellent hotel in pleasant surroundings but pricey: 10 August 2010; 9.4; + Outstanding service and excellent comfort; - Food (esp. wine) overpriced. Charging for WiFi in the hotl lobby seemed unnecessary given the price of the hotel. I've stayed in many less expensive hotels with free wifi.

Anonymous Disappointing: 12 July 2010; 6.6; + Friendly staff good, nice, clean hotel great location but not as close to the hoge veluwe as you think; - It's not a 4 star hotel by international standards, a good 3 start maybe. The restaurant wasn't worth the money they charged - under cooked potatoes, straight from the supermarket packet by the looks of things and over cooked asparagus.

A nice place to stay but has some drawbacks: 28 July 2009; 5.4; + If you are looking for out of the way places to rest in the seclusion of the forest and wooded areas this is a nice place.You will find serinity here. Everyone bikes all around and the bike paths are amazing and fantastic. It is 1.5 miles from the train station and 4 miles from a town that has a market and a few wonderful restaurants. All driving to these places is easy and BEAUTIFUL. It is far away from the city life and the drive to town is beautiful. We needed to leave every day in the morning before the breakfast area was open, so the staff made breakfast baskets for each of us that was very tastey and complete. Nice of them to do that for us. The staff was very helpful and friendly and they all spoke english. There were many problems and they went out of their way to try and fix what ever they could.; - There was limited parking and you had to park away from hotel and that was hard when you had luggage to bring in. Their food was expensive so you had to drive to the next town to get meals cheaper. But you can get to that market 4 miles away in Oosterbek. For the rooms-They tried to give us a room with a sewer problem and it smelled and the rug had a water stain on it from problems. But we declined and they gave us another room which was acceptable. There is no air conditioning but that is typical of Europe. You could open the windows but there were no screens so bugs could fly in. We did arrive at 9 a.m. and hoped that the room may be available. But it was not. So they said to com back at 2p.m. when they published rooms would be ready. The rooms were not ready at 2 p.m. and they said to wait 20 minutes. That came and went several times. So we had to wait until 3:30 to get in our rooms. We explained we only had one hour to get washed up and ready for a special banquet we had to go to. And that didn't move things along at all. Be prepared for a late arrival to get into your room to avoid that. Many of our friends had the same problem. We brought our dog. There wasn't really any place to take the dog to eliminate quickly. In the morning I had to take her out to this small strip of grass 6 inches wide on a road way across the street. That was it. Yes they have lovely grounds and place for the dogs to run but not easy to get to at all. And not easy to get the dog to when they have to go to the bathroom fast. My dog had to learn to go on the concrete, which she doesn't do.

A good experience for a lady travelling solo.; - The room was overly warm. I would have appreciated a fan. It looks as though there may be mildew around the edges of the shower floor.

The woodsy location was delightful and it's very near the Kroller-Muller Museum (in the Hoge Veluwe National Park). Rosella De Pas, the day manager, was outstanding! She went out of her way to help us with directions to Den Haag, to Arnhem and was extremely pleasant. Her personality and caring manner made our trip to Holland memorable.

The room was tidy and well-equiped.; - The web site led us to believe that the hotel would be a good base to visit the city of Arnhem from. In fact we found that our taxi ride from Arnhem to the hotel was very expensive. Also walk to Wolfheze was a long way!

Vriendelijke personeel.; - Erg kleine kamer, douchen in badkuip is onhandig als je al wat ouder bent. Er waren niet voldoende badhanddoeken. Slechte verlichting in badkamer. Restaurants zeer goed, maar té prijzig in verhouding met het gebodene. Er komt wel erg weinig op het bord!!!!

Ontbijt werd door de week tot 10.00 uur aangevuld.; - Uitstraling hotel aan buitenkant en in de gangen was niet erg sfeervol.

Jacques van Nieuwland Het gastvrije, gezellige, hotel is de moeite waard. Let op de prijzen: 22 September 2011; 8.0; + Gezellig; goede en vriendelijke bediening. Rustig gelegen. Uitstekend ontbijt; prima keuken.; - Kamers worden wat ouder; deuren klemmen. Een wat armetierige wandelgids/kaart voor de omgeving (niet te lezen). Men komt - meestal - hier om te wandelen. Dat moet daarom perfect verzorgd zijn.
