Wonderful location, friendly staff, great room, value for money

• + Wonderful room, very spacious with amazing views of the river outside, staff are accommodating and helpful giving advice and help when asked as well as several guides of the local area and Amsterdam with plenty of money off coupons.
• – Probably due to close proximity to the river we encountered a large number of gnats so had to purchase insect repellent and bite cream to use while in the room. Other than that no complaints.

• + A beautiful location and only a 15 mins simple train journey to hussle and bussle of central Amsterdam. The hotel was shabby chic, we had a good sized room simple furnished. It was good to step away to the peace and quite of the water front.
• – The bathroom was small and very compact but it served its purpose. the price on arrival was more expensive than advertised but not overly due to tourist tax. but as you do not pay until you arrive then its one of those things.
• * my tip If you have a wheat and gluten free diet, for breakfast you will only have a choice of ham, cheese slices and hard boiled eggs there was a very small selection of fruit. So take your own rolls I wished I had done this.

Good hotel, close to Amsterdam

• + 3 mins from Wormerveer railway station - 15 mins by train from Amsterdam. Good value for area. Clean, fairly large room. Buffet breakfast - cereal, juice, bread / rolls, cheese / meat / etc, tea / coffee. Tea / coffee making facilities in room. Helpful, friendly staff.
• – No lift (but there's only one upstairs floor). Not 24 hr reception (but wasn't a problem). Breakfast at EUR 8.50 seems a little pricey, but actually compares well with buying stuff at a baker, etc.
• * my tip Make sure you take a printout of your booking showing the price - the original bill printed was for the full amount, but then the receptionist realised I'd booked a cheaper rate (having checked my printout). I was able to leave my luggage until the afternoon of the day I departed.

• + The hotel room was spacious and very close to the railway station that was about 15 minutes away from Amsterdam. The room was spacious, the hotel was historic and the personnel were friendly. Actually it was a great deal for a last minute booking and a place located with an easy access to a great historic place to visit for a day or two... Amsterdam! I would rather stay overnight at this hotel where it's quiet and quaint than in the overcrowded and overpriced Amsterdam.
• – The hotel could charge a little more for its rooms if they supplied nicer, plusher towels and newer beds. Everything else was exceptional for the price..including the breakfast the next morning.

• + Charming staff, very relaxed, perfect position: on the river and yet 2 minutes from the station, and a 15 minute train ride into the centre of Amsterdam. Also free parking by the river. The room was big and clean with a lovely view of the river. Great value for money.

• + low price, nice location by river, parking on street is free from Saturday 18:00 to Monday 8:00 o'clock. With train (6,50 EUR return) it takes just 15 minutes to Amsterdam Center Station

Quiet hotel and really good value for money 20 min away from centre

• + Really nice and quiet hotel with view on the canal. The room was massive, a bedroom a living room, fridge... two minutes away from the train station. nearby the canal, so convenient for walk along the river. The room was spotless!
• – 15 minutes from amsterdam central and 2 trains an hour... so it's time consuming and a bit pricey to go and come back to the centre of Amsterdam (£6,40 return). But was worth it in order to have a quiet and decent room.
