In the cozy hotel Zaanen House it's wonderful to unwind. The hotel enjoys a pastoral location in the province Noord-Holland. Yet it's only a 15 minute direct train ride to the bustling centre of Amsterdam. Wormerveer Station lies a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Some rooms offer a nice view of the river Zaan. All rooms are spacious and have a large double bed, armchairs, TV, minibar and a private shower and toilet. There are also two stylish rooms for meetings and presentations. The restaurant serves meat and fish dishes and vegetarian meals. In addition to the regular menu there's a special seasonal menu every month.

Food and Drinks

In the hotel you can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet. On weekdays, the buffet is served from 06:30 to 09:30 h. and on weekends from 08:00 to 10:00 h.
The specialty restaurant is a good choice for a nice dinner with friends, family or colleagues. The characteristic style of the building is continued in the classic interior of the restaurant. In the kitchen, the dishes are prepared according to traditional methods. The restaurant is open from noon to 21:30 h. You can visit the bar from noon to 21:30 h. as well.

Surroundings

The town Wormerveer is known for its windmills. From Wormerveer Station it's easy to get on the train to Amsterdam, ideal for a visit to Artis Zoo, the Rijksmuseum or a nice boat cruise through the canal. Even closer to Hotel Huis te Zaanen is the famous Zaanse Schans, where many tourists admire its many mills and picturesque houses each year.

Tracy Beautifully quiet wrapped in charm.: 14 May 2012; 7.8; + A beautiful location and only a 15 mins simple train journey to hussle and bussle of central Amsterdam. The hotel was shabby chic, we had a good sized room simple furnished. It was good to step away to the peace and quite of the water front.; - The bathroom was small and very compact but it served its purpose. the price on arrival was more expensive than advertised but not overly due to tourist tax. but as you do not pay until you arrive then its one of those things.

Buffet breakfast - cereal, juice, bread / rolls, cheese / meat / etc, tea / coffee. Tea / coffee making facilities in room. Helpful, friendly staff.; - No lift (but there's only one upstairs floor). Not 24 hr reception (but wasn't a problem). Breakfast at EUR 8.50 seems a little pricey, but actually compares well with buying stuff at a baker, etc.

Anna Scott Great deal for the pricel Very close to the train to Amsterdam: 15 September 2010; 7.2; + The hotel room was spacious and very close to the railway station that was about 15 minutes away from Amsterdam. The room was spacious, the hotel was historic and the personnel were friendly. Actually it was a great deal for a last minute booking and a place located with an easy access to a great historic place to visit for a day or two... Amsterdam! I would rather stay overnight at this hotel where it's quiet and quaint than in the overcrowded and overpriced Amsterdam.; - The hotel could charge a little more for its rooms if they supplied nicer, plusher towels and newer beds. Everything else was exceptional for the price..including the breakfast the next morning.

The room was massive, a bedroom a living room, fridge... two minutes away from the train station. nearby the canal, so convenient for walk along the river. The room was spotless!; - 15 minutes from amsterdam central and 2 trains an hour... so it's time consuming and a bit pricey to go and come back to the centre of Amsterdam (Â£6,40 return). But was worth it in order to have a quiet and decent room.

We wensen de eigenaar daarom zeker veel succes. Lokatie is goed.

Freundilches Personal.; - "you get what you payed for". Das Hotel koennte als heruntergekommen bezeichnet werden. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und extrem hellhoerig. Am Wochenende finden Musikveranstaltungen im Restaurant statt (ein Problem wenn man nicht erst nach Mitternacht ins Bett geht).

Ook kregen we 's ochtends een heerlijk ontbijt. het bed sliep heel goed en de badkamer zag er heel goed uit. Ook hadden we een koelkastje en een waterkoker met theezakjes en 2 kopjes op de kamer. Het hotel zelf was vanaf het station heel makkelijk te vinden.; - De kamer was een beetje ouderwets ingericht en het had ook aparte geur.
