A hotel with sea vie
+
A very efficient team at the hotel ensures the stay is comfortable. The location by the sea is a big plus.
*my tipThe hotel has no restaurant but nearby Fusion restaurant along the promenade and The interesting Rly Station restaurant in Overveen are worth a visit.

rooms reminiscent of prison cell - particularly tose on annexe at rear end of hotel
oldest/greyest/most threadbare towels I hae EVER seen in an hotel - looked like dirty worn out dish cloths
absoluely most definitely NOT a 4 star hotel - more like 1 - if that! - there would be better quality B & B's in the town centre
only toiletries avialable were a pump action soap dispenser on wall between bath and sink
spare pillows/blankets in wardrobe smelled really awful
needs a total refit or bomb
mother in law paid over £1k for a week in a twin roomed cell
we had a marginally better room with a sea view but felt so dated it was actually funny
would have checked out if we had to have stayed for more than one night
breakfast was laughable too - tinned fruit salad
have stayed in other best western who have delivered far better quality - particularly in Reims, France but this one takes the biscuit for lack of value for money
NEVER AGAIN

A well positioned Hotel with superb views. Friendly efficient Staff and good food. Less than two minutes walk to the Train Station and five minutes to the shops. The beach is on the doorstep!

Nice hotel, nice staff but very poor booking policy
+
nice hotel for a very good price (with the deal i had online)
–
I didnt know if i needed to stay for 2 nights or 3 nights but i was asked to pay upfront. I said i would let reception know the next day if I needed to stay the 3rd night but they told me i had to leave as the hotel was now full. Very frustrating when I was working and ate into time I had to spend on one of the work days as I had to change hotel. As i had originally booked for 3 nights and had been clear about needing the 3rd i was not impressed by yhris. I also was not warned this could happen if I didnt pay for all 3 nights upfront.

Very helpful and friendly staff, everyone from Front of House to breakfast and cleaners, well done.
–
The building itself is starting to show its age on the outside, but who really cares about that? It was clean, staff were very friendly and breakfast was fine. All you need, really.

The hotel is at a great location and the staff worked hard to see to our needs. The breakfast was not too bad either, and parking was easy for us.
–
The room was a little small and the TV was in a bad location next to the door and kind of in the way.

Left early, and check out was done by the night porter. He was excellent, and better than the lady who checkeed me in the evening before.
–
Did get a small double bed in a single room, but the room itself was very small indeed.

The room was small with a bathroom. We had a balcony that was very dirty and had water puddles due to blocked drain. It was not pleasant. The entrance door crashes onto the bathroom door whenever opened.
Breakfast was nice and big. The restaurant was clean.
Conclusion: Not a most pleasant stay. I would look for another hotel next time in Sandvoort.

We chose Best westen because it allowed dogs and breakfast was included in the price. We were disappointed when we arrived. The hotel looked nothing like the photo on the webpage. It was rather old looking. We asked for a quiet room away from the street but were given a room that was right next to construction work within the hotel. We had to go back and ask for a different room! Not a good first impression. The hotel bar was always closed (only a vending machine is available), there are only expensive restaurants near by or you can buy food from the supermarket (5min on foot) and do a DIY.
The location was good, the dog beach is about 10min drive away. A word of warning: all parking are very expensive. We only stayed at the Dog beach for 4 hours because of the parking fee.

This hotel is by far not a 4 star hotel and should not be priced as one.

The picture of the hotel in the internet suggested that all rooms are heading to the sea. It was a bit disapointing to get a room heading the parking lot, what I believe the most rooms are doing.

The out of season price reduction is a very good idea as it encourages people to travel during the quieter times of the year without paying high season hotel prices.
