Description

The hotel has a quiet location on the edge of the centre, at the foot of the water tower. The beach and sea are within walking distance, as are the atmospheric terraces and shops. If you like creativity in a colourful environment, Hotel Hoogland may just be the hotel for you.

The rooms are all equipped with a bathroom with a shower and toilet, television, DVD-player, CD-player, radio, mini bar and a safe. Some rooms have a whirlpool or even a water bed as well. Warm, lively colours, and soft fabrics decorate the rooms.

At the reading table you will find many art books and a wide choice of literature and light reading matter in five languages. On sunny days guests can take a seat at the atmospheric terrace of Hoogland. 'Het Gedicht van de Zee' (The Sea's Poem) is the hotel's friendly café. Guests can have a nice drink or snack here from 12:00 to 23:00 h.

Food and Drinks

The breakfast buffet is served from 08:00 to 10:30 h. In consultation with the hotel, guests can also have an earlier breakfast. In café 'Het Gedicht van de Zee' guests can have a nice drink or a quick snack.

Surroundings

Hotel Hoogland has an ideal location, close to the beach and sea. Zandvoort has an atmospheric centre with many terraces, cafés, and restaurants. There is a broad boulevard where there is always something to do. In more than 30 beach pavilions, all of which have a special atmosphere, guests can have a drink or a bite to eat. Zandvoort is located between the dune areas the 'Kennemerduinen' and the 'Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen'. The atmospheric city Haarlem can be reached within 10 minutes by train. Amsterdam can be reached in less than half an hour.

Bathroom too small, toilet moves when you sit on it (cause it's correctly attached to the floor), shower is very old, too little water pressure. Handle on window is broken, so opening window is difficult.

Desmond A very pleasant hotel to stay at....will go again: 14 April 2009; 8.8; + Friendly and helpful staff. Good value. Very clean. Quiet. Kettle, minibar, CD player with relaxing classical CDs, free reliable Wi-Fi, complimentary tea, coffee and cup-a soup. Close to beach. Very relaxing apmostphere. Just what I needed for a relaxing break.; - Single room was a bit small, but clean, bright and very well equipped. Safe was too small for a laptop.

Easy to get to RAI for the exhibition and to Haarlem where a customer has offices via nearby train station. Charming artistic decor. Nice bar/lounge and library. Breakfast room looking onto court-yard garden was very pleasant. Staff was warm and went out of their way to be helpful.; - I welcomed walking up stairs to the third level, but some might feel otherwise.

He had answers to all of our questions and helped us to get around Zandvoort and even into the city.; - There was some confusion about parking - one person said we had to pay, another gave us a free pass. Checkout time could've been later, especially since it's the off season. The woman who served breakfast seemed to be in a very bad mood - waking up is difficult enough without getting a scowl with my coffee.

A real bonus if Dennis the dog, a next door neighbor, appears in the morning. The location is a block from the beach with many restaurants located on the beach. Parking is across the street. Zandvoort is a suburb of Haalam. Very close to Amersterdam. A real value.; - None

Anonymous Prima sfeervol hotel.: 12 December 2011; 9.6; + Kleurrijke, creatieve foyer, leestafel en eetzaal. Erg fijn om weer even tot rust te komen. Royaal ontbijt, zeer gastvrije eigenaar en personeel. Vlakbij het strand voor fijne wandelingen.; - Niet echt hoor. Badkamer is wat ouder en klein, maar goed bijgehouden. Eigenlijk niet echt een minpunt dus.

Pete Essinger Een fijn goed bereikbaar hotel en veel parkeergelegenighied voor: 24 October 2011; 8.0; + Gezellige sfeer, Alles heel leuk ingericht op zeegebied. Heel veel gemaakt en gedaan met allerhande schelpen en zo.. Zoals het daar eigelijk hoort zo bij de zee. Heel leuke en lieve hulpzame mensen.; - Wat ouder pand maar wel heel goed verzorgd, en eigenlijk als ik het kan zeggen, wat bij meerdere hotels is dat er een douche gordijn hangt en dat trekt altijd naar je toe met het douchen. Daar zou een vast wandje fijner zijn.

Bruno ROTTIERS Huiselijk en heel gezellig hotel dichtbij zee, strand en duinen en: 7 August 2011; 9.4; + Gezellig, knus hotel dat warmte uitstraalt met een huiselijke eigen aankleding. Gezellige praatgrage mensen. Met waterkoker en koffie, thee soep en chocomelk op de kamer. Een appel voor elk wachtte ons op, op de dag van aankomst op de kamer. Een gezellige gemeenschappelijke zitruimte vol met lectuur. Een pracht en smaakvol ontbijt te beginnen met een glaasje vers fruitsap. Geschilderd in frisse gezellige kleuren (lichtblauw en geel). Op wandelafstand van strand, zee en duinen envan het centrum van Zandvoort en toch rustig gelegen. Parking (bewaakt en te betalen) voor de deur. Wij hebben genoten !!! (ook viel het weder niet mee); - Oud gebouw, dus steile smalle trap.

Je krijgt misschien de indruk dat je op het strand uitkijkt op de site, dit is niet zo.

Frühstück ist ok.....Wir würden bzw. werden dort immer wieder hin fahren.; - Eigentlich Nix :-) , man darf halt keinen 5* Luxus erwarten.

Esmé Prettig hotel: 11 June 2011; 7.4; + kreeg grotere kamer, ipv 1-pers. Deze kamer gaat binnenkort verbouwd worden, en was ook wel verouderd, maar toch een lekkere plek. Bij aankomst op kamer lagen appels, mintjes en oploskoffie en thee klaar om te gebruiken. Een dvdspeler en cd/radio-speler op kamer. Ontbijt buffet was prima, met eigen kannetje koffie of thee. Prettig hotel, prettige mensen, fijne plek.; - tv was klein en zonder afstandbediening, beeld zwart-wit, maaer aangezien ik niet zo'n tv-behoefte had stoorde ik me daar niet aan.

Dort ist eine Abstellmöglichkeit vorhanden.; - Treppen sind sehr steil,ist aber normal in Holland.Hotel ist sehr hellhörig.
