From the hotel there area countless bike and walking routes to be found, among which the 'castle route' through Amerongen, Doorn, and Zeist. The hotel is located near the woods surrounding Zeist, which are also connected to national park 'De Utrechtse Heuvelrug'. A trip to Utrecht can be easily arranged from the hotel as well. The city features the famous 'Dom' tower and a wealth of other cultural treasures. For example, in Utrecht one can visit the 'Centraal Museum' of arts and culture or the 'Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum' (railway museum). Besides the 'Dom' church, Utrecht has many other churches, some of which were built as early as the 11th century.
A few kilometres away from Utrecht, in the peaceful surroundings of the 'Utrechtse Heuvelrug', one can find the Bilderberg Kasteel 't Kerkebosch. Zeist is known as a fortress town, because of the presence of the fortress 'Slot Zeist'. This castle is surrounded by an English-style garden and was designed by Jacob Roman, who also designed the royal palace 'Het Loo'. The beautiful murals and paintings on the ceilings have remained largely intact. Kasteel 't Kerkebosch also displays its status as a stylish and remarkable château. The stained-glass windows and the authentic decorations combine classical elements with modern facilities. For receptions and business meetings the hotel is excellently suited, but the atmosphere is also perfect for a wedding or an exclusive dinner. Receptions of up to 300 persons and dinners for up to 150 persons can be easily arranged. The hotel has a tennis court (at an additional charge) and has bikes to let.
Food and Drinks
The extensive Bilderberg breakfast is served on weekdays between 07:00 and 10:00 h. and on the weekends between 08:00 and 11:00 h.
In the atmospheric restaurant 'De kamer van Lintelo' guests can enjoy the French oriënted dishes, on Monday through Saturday from 18:00 to 21:30 h. On Sunday the restaurant is closed. The restaurant also offers guests the possibility to have lunch, on Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 14:30 h.
'Bistro De Saffraan' is open throughout the week. Hotel guests can enjoy dinner here from 17:30 to 22:00 h.
