+ friendly staff.good location
- room too small
Anonymous Nice business hotel near Amsterdam Airport
7.4
+ reception ist open until late in the night, acceptable price quality ratio, kindly service personnel, flexible breakfast times, the hotel is actually a good idea for business travel with car, if you can find a free parking space in the evening -> see below
- very close to the area with sounds from the landing aircrafts, on some days not enough capacity in the parking area, difficulties to find an other parking space near by the hotel, hotel without lift, a little bit old fashioned
Anonymous Good location
7.8
+ location convenient
- room too small for family of 4. breakfast too dear for menu offered
Nicholas Godden Visiting Family
3.4
+ conveniently sited to family. Breakfast expensive but adequate. Area clean.
- Poor value in total. stair carpet worn badly on two treads. ref; safety. rooms tired, need refurbishment. Very Noisy around main entrance, below room 21. Adjoining rooms very noisy.
Anonymous A very disappointed stay at a hotel that does not deserve it's 3 stars
3.4
+ Hotel is fairly easy to find and accessible, free parking is a bonus.
- Pictures of the rooms on the website do not reflect reality. Rooms are very small, quad room did not have two double beds as shown but had 1 double and 1 bunk bed and not even enough space to put luggage down, let alone walk to the bathroom. No hair dryer in the room. Receptionist not very welcoming or helpful.
Anonymous Cheap and functional
6.4
+ Very close to a big park, 2 major cities (Amsterdam and Haarlem), and the airport.
- Not that friendly staff who don't speak Dutch very well. Planes flying overhead.
Ivan Foster Nice Little Hotel
10

Anonymous Good airport hotel.
8.4
+ Great service to and from the airport. Nice bathroom and shower.
- Breakfast cost more money than I was expecting.
Martin Porter Very clean and ok for a stop over
7.0
+ Shuttle driver very friendly, well travelled and multi-lingual.
- Hot water extremely hot and difficult to control shower heat, be Careful! Tiny rubbish bins and low beds (not easy to get up with my bad back).
Anonymous Clean, but somewhat pricey and far from Schiphol
5.0
+ Clean, prompt pickup at airport
- Relatively far from the airport, shuttle service doesn't start early enough on Saturday morning, ambient music in the hallway was audible when I was trying to sleep.
Anonymous Lovely
10
+ The hotel had great service. I felt like being home away from home. Everybody was incredible helpful and kind. The room was clean. Restaurant had great choice of food...breakfast was simple and delicious.
- The only minus point was the weather. I wished to get to know Zwanenburg village
Josef Acceptable budget hotel for one night usage.
4.6
+ Price, short distance to Red Light District, to beach at Zandvoort.
- Cold ground rooms, small rooms, old TV, nothing comfortable.
Anonymous Budget accommodation
10
+ Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet accommodation. Very efficient and prompt shuttle service to the airport.
Kathleen Lasater Pleasant closeby location airport with complementary shuttle bus
8.0
+ Excellent complementary service getting to and from airport--this plus safety for me traveling alone was highest priority; Although I had a reservation, the hotel booking desk at the airport was discouraging, saying they'd heard that sometimes guests had to pay for the shuttle. Charming, safe neighborhood; best shower of my 9 day trip (temp, water pressure).
- Internet service was poor/weak/slow; no hair dryer in the bathroom; had to prepay for the room rather than on checkout. I didn't try to get into the city because I got in later than expected but read that it would be difficult from this location.
S. L. Alexandre Suitable for a short stay
5.4
+ The shuttle service is very handy and works very well. Service is good, nice staff and rooms were very clean.
- The walls are quite thin, thus, depending on the "neigbours" you get, the room can be quite noisy. Seems that the wifi signal doesn't reach some of the rooms (althought it works very well in the reception area).
Patrick Pang Nice Hotel Zwanenburg
7.2
+ A nice Hotel at an affordable price and provided free parking. It is 10 minutes away from the nearest Park and Ride (P+R) to Amsterdam city and also 10 minutes away from Schiphol airport. Located at a peaceful neighborhood and very accessible. Good for travelers that travel with a car.
- Nothing bad i can think of except that you must have a car
Lorraine Entrikin Close proximity to airport w/free shuttle. Very clean, quiet room.
9.8
+ Hotel Zwanenburg was very clean and comfortable. They provided airport shuttle in a very timely manor. Much appreciated
- 8 Euros was a bit high for breakfast
Anonymous Great stopover for a weary traveller!
9.4
+ This is really a budget option if all you want is to have a good night's rest before embarking on another flight. The town is small and quaint with only one restaurant open for lunch (but it makes a superb sandich!!). The hotel's free shuttle service was much appreciated.
- Having to call the hotel to tell them you have arrived is inconvenient. It would be better if you could provide flight info and the shuttle could just be there. Also, the web site gives the incorrect location for picking up the shuttle (should be B14).
sandra wanka This hotel was very affordable and allowed us to extend our days
8.4
+ the staff could speak english which made it more homely
Anonymous Good budget airport hotel
7.4
+ Friendly service.
- Access to public transport is not that handy although they did provide detailed directions on how get to the bus stops.
Dana VandeWater No frills hotel, but accommodating and comfortable, clean, and afforda
9.6
+ It was close to the airport and provided free shuttle service, which was a real plus for me. It was also very clean and comfortable--not luxurious, but certainly very comfortable.
- The lack of restaurants in the walking area is distressing. I had an excellent meal at the Chinese place, but it was a bit pricey and formal for what I really wanted. The hotel provides a good breakfast, but I arrived at 7 pm, which was after dinner had been served. I don't know what was on that menu. Travelers have very erratic schedules, so it is difficult for a proprietor.
Anonymous Good price/quality tradeoff
7.2
+ good compromise between price and quality, reception/service friendly
- a bit noisy due to Schiphol airport close by
Dave Decent but pricey
5.6
+ Close to the airport, quick shuttle, good service from staff
- a bit on the pricey side
Costa Rosarita Excellent shuttle service from/to airport
7.6
+ Excellent shuttle service from/to airport
Radka Pourová Very cheap, just bed and bath, not very clean, no comfort, bad staff
4.2
+ 1. It is rather cheap. 2. Free parking. 3. Comfortable bed. 4. Not far for the city circle and P+R parking (12km) - when you come with car. 5. Hot watter worked (even after long time waiting) that I didn´t expected after seeing the "room" and it was really important for me. Conclusion: It is suitable to stay there 1 or 2 nights when it is not too cold (there is a king of central heating but I don´t expect it to be working) but don´t expect anything than bed and shower.
- 1. Hotel is not easily to find, as we were lost and call the recepstionist she told us to ask someone on the street (not easy in the middle of the nighte). 2. Wi-fi doesn´t work or maybe even exist. 3. There should be mentioned that main number of the "rooms" are only boxes on the backyard. That was a surprise 4. The "room" was wet and smelly according to missing ventilation in the bathroom and bad working closet drain. 5. Really the smallest problem was that there are only two 1.5 liter dust bins in the room and bathroom so we had to take all our garbage with us to car as we didn´t was to let it lie about in the "room".
AmsterdamRocks! Not bad for what you pay!!!
5.8
+ Not a bad place to say if you are on a budget, Nice clean rooms.
- We booked a triple bed room. Pictures gave the idea that it will have 3 separate beds. but it was a actually a double bed room with a bunk style bed... They should have mentioned that clearly on the room description
Art Great hotel for the money
9.2
+ The hotel was quite clean and neat. The food at the restaurant was excellent and quite reasonably priced. The perfect hotel to accomodate an overnight layover.
-
John & Brenda Could of been much better.
5.0
+ Easy accessability to public transport staff were helpful.
- No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Rooms need updating, especially bathrooms shower poor, Extractor fan not working, made the whole room condensate floor included, a potential hazard,no plug for basin,TV reception of only one English station.

7.8
+ very goog location
- hygiene needs a bit improvement in the bathroom especially
RON HICKS Satisfactory if you only wanted a place to sleep between flights
7.6
+ Free shuttle to and from Schiphol. Reasonable breakfast for 8 euro. Wifi internet OK. Quiet.
- Room small but OK for a short layover. No lift, only stairs. Double bed was two singles put together. Would have to go into town to get lunch or dinner.
Anonymous Well worth it
8.4
+ Nice and calm hotel, personal environment
- thin walls
Rand, Margaret Zwanenburg Hotel makes the mark.
9.0
+ I was picked up promptly at the airport when expected, my bags were carried up a flight of stairs for me, and the room was quite nice. I only stayed for one night, but was quite comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were clean. As you will see below, eventually, with the problem I experienced, the hotel did send me two items I left behind (unfortunately). I will compliment and thank you and the hotel for responding to my request to return them and eventually seeing that they were sent to Germany as I had requested. The full story is below.
- Apart from the older man who seems to be the owner or at least do most of the business, English was not that prevalent. Thus it was sometimes difficult to communicate with the staff. My major problem (certainly my own fault) was that I left a book and calendar/agenda book behind. When a German friend of mine tried to call a few days later, starting on October 19 (so he could use German if necessary), the answer for 2 days straight (5 long-distance mobile phone calls) was always, "No one is here right now, please call back in ..." 2 hours, tomorrow morning, etc. Finally I wrote you and the hotel to ask about the items that were clearly marked with my name in them. The response to my German friend (I was travelling) was very quick. It all worked out in the end, and the owner sent the items to my German friend. However, they were sent so late that despite the 2 weeks or more that I was in still in Europe, the package was not sent until November 4. Therefore, I had to spend 9 euros to send the package to Germany, and another 12 euros to send it to me back in the U.S. Because of the response and eventual positive result of this experience, I would recommend this hotel to others. The little area there is close to restaurants and many stores (groceries, cheese, bakery, etc.), so it's easy to get around.
Anonymous Not bad for the price.
7.4
+ The staff was very friendly and tried their best to accomodate any needs.
- It took the staff one hour to come get me from Schipol Airport. I waited from 10pm to 11pm in the cold for them to show up. The internet connection did not work on my laptop and there was no assistance as to why. Part of my selection of the hotel was based on wireless internet in the room.
Marcin Sochacki Hotel Zwanenburg
5.8
+ Wireless Internet (does not always work)
- Noise from the airport Small size of the rooms Room doors close very loudly Far from the city center
Jason Ward Good parking and public transportation connections
6.6
+ Convenient to public transportation into Amsterdam. Free parking in hotel lot. Grocery store within 250m from hotel. 10 minutes from Dutch Autobahn
- Small room, but practical. Due to its location out of town, must leave Amsterdam by 23:00 in order to catch public transportation back to hotel. No fridge.

+ We were a family of 5 in a 4 person room and they accomodated us anyway and with no hesitation. The restaurant people were wonderful, we ate late and they also accomodated us with no problem. In Europe, excellent service makes up for any minor stuff. We were very, very pleased and will book again for our Schiphol pick ups and drop offs.

+ 0. It is quite cheap compared to the other hotels 1. I was picked up from the airport (trainstation) and brought back to the airport (flight) well on time. 2. I learned that I should look better at quality of the hotel, and not just price.
- Due to my work I frequently stay in a hotel. This hotel was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at. 1. The people in the hotel were far from friendly and did not make me feel welcome. 2. The room itself was smelling bad and caused allergy related problems. I had to puff heavily to breath well. 3. The bed was hard and caused quite some pain in my back the next morning. Further, after arrival at the destiny (10 hour flight), the problem with my back got much worse and resulted that I had to take some serious 'blue label' medicine to relieve the pain. I partly blame the quality of matras of the hotel Zwanenburg for this. 4. There was no elevator in the hotel so I had to go up the stairs with my 22 kg lugage and 4 kg handlugage. This also contributed to my backproblems that I had after my stay in this hotel. It is the first times that I made such a bad evaluation of a hotel. I will not stay again in this hotel.
