Enjoy a pleasant stay in Egmond aan Zee. Go on wonderful bikes rides through the Netherlands' highest dunes and relish lovely, long walks on the beach. The promenade is home to countless shops and beach pavilions, where you can unwind after an active day out in this beautiful area. Egmond aan Zee is just a few kilometres away from the bustling cheese city of Alkmaar, where a trip to the Cheese Museum is a real must. You're also likely to have a great time shopping there.
Hotel Mare Liberum has 12 modern rooms. Several rooms also come with a connecting door; perfect for families with children. The rooms feature two single beds, a lovely bathroom, a television, a desk, a sitting area and wireless Internet (throughout the entire hotel). The hotel also has a pleasant lobby with an outdoor terrace.
The hotel is very suitable for guests suffering from allergies. The floors are either marble or solid oak and varnished, and the hotel's interior has been selected with great care keeping allergies in mind. Particular attention is also paid to the daily cleaning and maintenance of the hotel. The building's high ceilings and good insulation allow for plently of fresh air without fluctuating temperatures.Surroundings
You'll encounter a combination of dunes, beaches and woods in the old fishing village of Egmond aan Zee; a perfect area if you love walking and cycling. During the summer months you can visit the weekly cheese market (every Friday) in Alkmaar, where cheese is traded in the traditional manner. Here you can see the cheese carriers, still in their white outfits, bringing the cheeses to the weighing scales.Food and Drink
Breakfast is served daily in the sun lounge between 08:30 and 10:00. The hotel does not have a restaurant and bar, but you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafés on Egmond aan Zee's promenade.
