Hotel

Situated in the stunning Achterhoek region, Hotel Landgoed Ehzerwold forms an oasis of peace. It consists of two hotel wings with 114 modern twin rooms and a suite, each equipped with every comfort. You will find the hotel on the outskirts of Almen, with its village square and 14th century church. The nearby Hanseatic towns of Zutphen and Deventer are definitely worth visiting as well. The surrounding area is characterised by flowery meadows, orchards and lakes. Countless walking and cycling routes will lead you through scenic areas such as the Landgoed Velhorst. This estate, with its many characteristic farms with brightly painted shutters, has been financially supported by the Dutch Foundation for Nature Monuments since 1972.

Landgoed Ehzerwold is entirely encompassed by the Berkelvallei valley, where you can also revel in many activities. The green surroundings offer plenty of sporty opportunities ranging from Nordic Walking to boerengolf (literally meaning farmers' golf: a sport similar to croquet). Within a 1-kilometre radius is a sports field, an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a venue for hiring canoes.

The Landgoed Ehzerwold estate is also very suitable for business gatherings, conferences and meetings. The hotel has two large meeting rooms, nine medium-sized and eight smaller meeting rooms, as well as eleven conference rooms. All rooms come with a telephone, Internet, and a minibar and can be equipped with a flip-over chart and an overhead projector with a screen. The sun room bordering the park's garden also offers a great location for a party.

Surroundings

The location of Landgoed Ehzerwold in the Berkelvallei valley is perfect for those looking for tranquillity as well as for guests who love a bit of action. For instance, take a splendid walking or cycling trip through the vast pastures, woods, lakes and ponds or head to the nature reserves of Velhorst and Kienveen. The beautiful Hanseatic towns of Deventer and Zutphen lie within 15 kilometres of the hotel. Apeldoorn and Arnhem are also within easy reach. A day of shopping or a visit to the royal palace of Paleis het Loo are therefore also good options for a nice excursion. Free walking and cycling routes are available at the reception.

Food and Drink

An elaborate breakfast buffet is served every morning, between 07:00 and 10:00 on weekdays and between 08:00 and 11:00 at weekends. The hotel serves wonderful meals, thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of the chefs. A small menu of lunches and plate-service dishes is available between 11:00 and 18:00. A delicious dinner buffet is also served daily in the restaurant and sun room, between 18:00 and 20:00. The sun room or bar is also a lovely place to enjoy a nice drink in the evening. The sun room offers a beautiful view of the park's gardens.

Great hotel in lovely location. Plain rooms with basdic facilities.

Great clean room with excellent conservatory facility for breakfasts and dinner / evening meals. Staff polite and helpful and gardens and location of hotel was in a beautiful area.

Hotel rooms are located in separate buildings and plain compared to the main hotel.

“My tip: Great restaurant facilities in beautiful conservatory area.”

    Lovely building and grounds

Excellent value with our booking on hotels.nl. Main hotel building and grounds lovely. Breakfast ample selection, including cook-your-own bacon and eggs, and the dining room is in very attractive glass annex to the main hotel building.

Rooms comfortable but not "luxe", in separate buildings than restaurant.

“My tip: Nice selection of walking and cycling routes available at no charge from rack near reception.”
