The small-scale Hotel de Tabaksplant is established in a monumental building in the medieval centre of Amersfoort. Within a 1-minute walk of the hotel you will find shops, cafés, restaurants, museums, theatre De Flint, a cinema and a bus station. The train station can be reached on foot in approximately 25 minutes and by car in 10 minutes.
Staff know guests by name and this is a good reflection of the hotel as a whole. All rooms, except for the Economy Rooms, come with tea and coffee facilities, a television, wireless Internet and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The more spacious Deluxe Rooms are situated in the monumental part of the building. Each of the hotel's apartments comes with a different interior as well as a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, and a dining area. The hotel does not have a lift.
Surroundings
Amersfoort's historic city centre is great for shopping and seeing various museums. You can pay a visit to the Mondriaan House or admire work by artists with a connection to Amersfoort in the Flehite Museum. In the west of the city lies Dierenpark Amersfoort, a beautiful zoo which is open throughout the year.
Food and Drink
A continental breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00, and at weekends between 08:00 and 10:30. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but upon reservation it is possible to order dishes from the select menu as plate service. You'll also find many restaurants in the historic city centre where you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

Very simple, clean, and affordable location close to historic center of Amersfoort. Excellent customer service. Most rooms include makings for coffee and tea plus a refrigerator.
It's not a luxury hotel, so the furnishings are rather stark. But it is an excellent value for the price.

Excellent location in Amersfoort. Just a few minutes walk away from the Train Station where you have acess to all of Holland and Europe at large. Very nice rooms everything you want is there.
No airconditioning, I was there in the middle of July and it was very hot. The rooms were extreamly hot and the window did not open wide enough to let sufficent air in.

No Toiletaries (Esp for late arrivals).
No Contingency plan for late arrivals (Lets you book, lets you tell time of arrival, get there and Hotel is closed.
No Mini Bar, Tea / Coffee
(Even if above were chargeable that would be ok, but to have nothing planned !!!!!)

This is a well run, clean, and quaint hotel. It has a beautiful little garden and is a perfect accommodation for tourists and businesspeople alike. A perfect stay with so helpful personnel!

staff helpful
on arrival only 2 out of 7 lightbulbs working,
with no bedside lights working.
Was a problem with electricity going off at one time.
Breakfast little choice.
