This unique hotel is inextricably linked with (gem)stones and fossils; not only in terms of the hotel's namesake but also in an extensive exhibition. Each floor showcases a different type of rock or fossil, which is reflected in the decor. The elegant atmosphere and decor together with the excellent service ensure a unique personal experience. What's more, the hotel has an ideal location; on the edge of Amsterdam-Zuid! It's just 20 minutes by tram to Dam Square with its pigeons and living statues. The woods of the Amsterdamse Bos are also nearby; the perfect place for a quiet walk, to enjoy nature and escape the bustle of the city. The hotel opened its doors in 2018 and offers 227 tastefully furnished rooms, suites and apartments with all the frills. During your stay you can unwind in the spa centre featuring fitness equipment and sauna facilities; all of which are available free of charge.

There's also plenty more to see and do in this busy city: feed the pigeons on Dam Square, take a canal cruise and explore the city from the water, or visit one of its many museums. Excellent room, very high quality bed, excellent amenities and kitchenette in the room. Perfect fitness and spa area. Good price for the late check out until 2pm.
Quite far from the tram station, excellent shuttle service to the tram but only until 10pm.

The distance of the transportation. They offer a shuttle, but it was necessary to call when you arrive the station and we don t have cellphone here, only WhatsApp, but they accept only call.

We only stayed here for two night, but found the hotel to be clean and quiet with a great staff who were all very friendly and helpful. You can ask for a shuttle to the public transport stop free of charge.

The hotel had very nice rooms very cosy
The jacuzzi was not clean At all... and there qas a lot of dust in the room...
