Koan Float is located at the Herengracht – just a few doors away from the hotel.
Surroundings
The Ambassade Hotel is located in ‘The Nine Streets', one of Amsterdam's best known and charming shopping areas. For example, visit our books- & art store 'Samsara Books & Art', located just around the corner. Dam square and the Royal Palace are located within 500 metres from the hotel. Famous shopping streets, the popular neighbourhood ‘de Jordaan’, and art galleries are all located practically around the corner. The Anne Frank House and other well-known museums are also just a short walk away. Or, you could ride one of our stylish Ambassade rental bicycles.
Food and Drink
On the 1st floor you will find Brasserie Ambassade, where the kitchen is run by chef Tom van Buuren and his team. In this remarkable Brasserie - decorated with numerous works of art, large chandeliers and with a stunning view over the canal – we invite you to enjoy dishes inspired by French cuisine, but with a modern twist.

Very private and quiet.
'Double' bed was not perfect (gap in between) but was better the second night after we raised the subject.

Good location, walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants. Nicely decorated room with view of the canal. Staff helpful and attentive. Liked the fresh flowers as you enter the hotel and lobby. Charming hotel with a cosy feel to it.

When I arrieved my room was not ready and I was proposed a better room for the same fee. The room was really nice, big and recently renovated. The hotel is located in the city center, very close to all Amsterdam attractions. I really enjoied my stay there.

The staff on reception were wonderful. Made our day trips so much easier as they gave us very useful maps and information. They were very helpful and courteous.
We were in a junior suite and it was noisy because of people on the streets.

Great location!!! Super comfortable bed, private room access for privacy. Would definitely stay there again!
Before 1am it's a bit noisy if you are on the canal (street) side.

LADY magazine in the UK listed this hotel as one of the top ten romantic hotels in Europe and having stayed there, I can honestly say this is the impression my wife and I were left with. Simply put, this is a fabulous hotel.
The only minus point is that we had to leave at the end of our stay!

We arrived at the airport and took the train into the Central Station then the tram. The Ambassade is close to the tram stop, on a canal and was the perfect location for our night in the city. The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. I would recommend it to anyone.

great location, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely as well as delicious.
We had a lovely view from room 49. Hotels could invest in a new hair dryer and bath towels.

Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, free wireless internet in room, rooms with beautiful high ceilings.
Triple room (bed + removable cot) was a bit too small, making it difficult to find places for our luggage.

very helpful and friendly staff
parking in this area is a problem. Car-parks nearby takes 48 or 49€ /24h and 4 or 4,50/h. Car.parks at the outskirt of the town are much chaeper 15€/24h but it is not comfortable with luggage and children in the bus and on foot. Best alternative: the offer from the hotel : your car is taken from the hotel and brought back for 30€/24h and 2€/h we made good expience with this arrangement.

The staff is wonderful. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and helpful. The hotel itself is charming and the rooms well appointed.
Because of its historical character, it would be difficult to manage for people with disabilities.

Excellent and helpful service from all the people we met. We loved the suite and the wonderful view over the canal. The enormous bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in.
Being English we would have liked to have been able to make our own tea in our room - but it's a small point!
