Unexpected close to city, simply a great palce to stay

Very nice hotel, great service...far above Dutch average -) Not far from Museum- and Leidseplein. The hotel rents bikes which are the best the best way to explore Amsterdam.

    Service and convenience

Excellent service from Hotel staff..... had my purse stolen en route to hotel.. and they were extremely helpful in cancelling cards etc. All staff encountered throughout stay were very polite, too. information.. whatever

A draughty window and curtains that hid the radiator (it was January)

“My tip: Dal Barone (Italian) just round the corner.. very good and reasonably priced.... All the museums... Contemporary Art museum, in particular.. Anne Frank House, Van Loon House... Rijksmuseum and Hermitage rather disappointing.. but Rijksmuseum has great cafe and shop. You can walk to all of these places from the hotel. And access the hotel from the Amsterdam Zuid station and the no. 5 tram.... quick and cheap from Schipol.”

a very good simple hotel - but not 4 star level

clean, nice and comfortable - beds were excellent.

not four star standard: no minibar, internet should have been included in the price. Too pricey for what it is (a very good 3 star hotel)

Fine hotel, but not for businesspeople

Beautifull Hotel with nice patio to have your breakfast in.

Not a minus point, but a disgrace for such a hotel. They advertise with free 'Wifi', but the wifi connection is trimmed so that you can not even download your e-mail properly. When asked the hotel desk offers you a connection for €12,50. Please don't advertise with a bogus connection that is not even a connection.

Hotel needs upgrade and better maintenance.

Modern bathroom, some very helpful staff

Night staff double or triple up as front dest, bar, and maintenance staff - all inadequate. Internet service is terrible, and woefully inadequate lighting in room. Limited restaurant service. Tiny elevator. No porter service.

“My tip: Do not stay here unless u have limited service requirements.”
