Hotel la Boheme lies around the corner of Leidseplein; a square surrounded by lovely restaurants, coffee shops, clubs and cafés. La Boheme's location is particularly convenient for theatre lovers. Nieuwe de la Mar Theater is situated directly opposite the hotel and Stadsschouwburg and Theater Bellevue are located on Leidseplein. And for a bit of improv comedy you can see the 'Boom Chicago' show at the Leidseplein Theatre.
Enjoy a chat with staff at the hotel. The young and friendly team will be happy to offer you all sorts of tips and advice. Reception also doubles as a bar where you'll also have fun games at your disposal including backgammon, cards and chess. The rooms come with a television and a telephone plus all double and triple rooms feature a shower and a toilet. Friendly and helpfull staff. Clean rooms. Very central location. Very good public transport connections. We had a very pleasant stay.
Steepy stairs, no elevator. Small bathroom. Don't expect any luxury, you 'll get what you pay for and that is very reasonable. Parking is very expensive, so you better use the P+R facilities on the outskirts of the city or use the public transport.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast, clean rooms, great location and good value.
No lift, making access to upper floors difficult, probably impossible, for older people. We are older (60+) and in good health so it was no propblem; 10 years from now - maybe not. But, that is how it must be in older Amsterdam properties.

The staff was very nice and helpful.
Considering the price (70€) the hotel was worse ever! The lobby and breakfast ok but the room in the basement was awful. The room was shabby and unclean. Because of its smell could barely breathe.

Walking up all those stairs. There should be a warning for the unfit. Also bathroom was not the cleanest.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was tastey. Excellent location. Comfortable beds. It felt very secure, with the front door always being locked and a provided front door key when you check in. I wouldn\'t hesitate to stay again!
Very steep stairs that I had to see to believe. However, after going to other places, I realized that most Dutch stairs are this steep, so it was nothing out of the ordinary.
