Nice and cozy, but small bathroom

    Really nice and helpful service

Quite far from city center. After midnight, it s hard to reach hotel because of Ferry non availability

“My tip: Plan your city visit to finish before midnight. ”

    Spacious boat-based private rooms

Swift service, great rates, spacious rooms

The Centraal-NDSM ferry stops running at midnight, which may limit evening plans. (There is apparently a shuttle service from Buiksloterweg, however I didn t look into it)

Great style in a hotel on the river

The staff were all well informed.Micheal was brilliant and sved us at least 100 Euros.Couldn t be better

The boat next door was very noisy fri night, but dont know if someone complained as it finished very abruptly.

“My tip: As botel is around 2-3 km out of the centre of Amsterdam, you have to factor in some extra travelling time, but at least the ferries are free from the train station.”

    Great price and comfortable

Enjoyed being waterside. Room was basic but comfortable. Free ferry to from Amsterdam took 15 minutes and added to the fun. Free parking.

Water didn t drain away from shower fast enough and it filled up.

“My tip: Over the Ij river so not ideal if you want to stay right in the centre, although if you don t mind the short (free) ferry ride (last one about midnight) then definitely recommended. Saves the hassle and cost of parking in the centre.”

    An unusual experience.

It was beautiful to stay in a boat, and very romantic. The bartender was lovely.

Much farther from the centre than is intimated and we had several problems, first with the room key not working due to the cross over in staff and the thought that we did not pay, and then when we went to breakfast in the morning, it took quite some time to find out that we had indeed paid for it to be included...

“My tip: try to get on the lower deck, it's lovely to look out onto the sea.”

    2 stars, not 3

Peace and quiet, there's nothing else in a circle of at least 500 meters.

Terrible ventilation, each morning windows were covered in dew. Bad beds. Breakfast was so-so. No kettle. Paper-thin walls.

“My tip: Only stay here if you need to be on that side of the IJ, or if it's the last hotel in town and you NEED to be there.”

Fantastic Hotel with free parking & breakfast accessible by free f

Free car parking, free breakfast, room was basic but still very clean and comfortable, free ferry to/from Central Station, free minibus to and from ferry stop after midnight (run by Botel), amazing view of Amsterdam skyline from bedroom window at night, free minibus and ferry to/from Botel to Cental Amsterdam

noisy radiators if turned up high (made a gurgling sound), shower didn't drain fast enough so one stood in 4 inches of dirty water whilst showering! Botel is located on the north of the river Ij, so ferry journey is necessary to get from Botel to the main city. The ferry leaves from right next to the Botel and runs until midnight. After which a minibus runs all night to another ferry stop. Ferry & minibus are completely free of charge but extra travel may be considered an inconvenience for

Good cheap hotel voor short visit

Very close to the center station and the ferry and bus was really effective, the shuttle bus works perfectly also in the night. Breakfast was better than I expected.

Shower very bad! You take 10 minutes to get it in good temperature, or too hot or too cold! Irritant.

    Cheap and clean

It was cheep and the view of the habour was cosy.

It looked old and there was holes in the towels. Internet is very expensive, it costes 6 euro pr hour. To far away from the city center.

    An expensive cheap hotel..

Price was alright. Not too difficult to get to. Free ferry is pretty handy.

Requested a double bed when booking but was given two single beds that weren't that comfortable. Boat woke us up several times during the night due to rocking and strange banging holiday. This is not a place to bring your girlfriend.

Basic but I liked it, I would go back again

I liked it, it suited our purpose, we just wanted somewhere to use as a base and to relax. It was a bit of a hassle to get the ferry to and from the city centre(although there was always plenty of them), but in a way added to the experience.

Breakfast was a bit to basic.

A GREAT hotel experience on the Botel in Amsterdam

    't was great

Good location, but needs better maintenance

Public ferry service from the hotel to Central Station in downtown Amsterdam is great and runs frequently.

The rooms are painted light green, like a hospital room. Hotel looks a bit outdated.

I will remember it both with the style and the movings!

the style as a boat. the location is great (easy access to central station by free ferries). also we liked the breakfast.

if you have problems with boats moving on water forget this hotel. imagine staying on a boat which is moving all the time.

    Tutta apparenza!

    Nice and practical

There is free ferry that takes you directly to the central station. Breakfast included in the price

We asked for double room but had twin room and it was not possible to change it.
