High quality hotel in centre of Amsterdam

Extremely comfortable bed and quiet room in centrally located Amsterdam hotel. Very helpful and pleasant front desk staff and concierge. Good breakfast.

I would Return to the Crown Plaza

Club room access to the private lounge was a big plus - very relaxing and quiet. Never more than 6-8 people in it while I was there. Upgrade to a Club room if you can.

Restaurant was spotty for dinner food was good, but not outstanding service was poor, as larger groups received lots of attention, but a lone diner had to constantly flag down the server for attention (e.g, a knife a glass of water entree not properly prepared - extremely rare steak delivered, medium-well was ordered).

“My tip: Take a 1-2 hour river from in front of the Central Station. It s a good opportunity to orient yourself. When walking, it s easy to become confused or lost among the streets, alleys and canals. Bring a good map or cell phone map App (be sure phone is fully charged). ”

the only one thing i didnt like it that if u have an issue with ur Credit card they team can wake you up on middnight to pay !!! which i found a bit too much .. they could wait till 8 am at least

Good quality hotel in prime location - WiFi should be free

Staff - all excellent. Both efficient and friendly. We stayed in room 124, lack of view was of no importance to us given the short stay. Rooms spacious and clean, housekeeping good . Bathroom a tad small but sufficient for purpose.

Only one and this has been mentioned by numerous visitors - free Wi-Fi should be available. Even the most humble of establishments in Amsterdam City have free Wi-Fi available to customers.

Not less of what I expected. A good experience.

I wanted to change the room on the second night as I didn't want a matrimonial bed and they changed it without any problem. The staff is very professional.

The location is superb and the staff was very helpful, friendly, and helpful of our needs. The concierge is a great person who helped with train tickets and places to eat.

The bar closed to early. The cost of the drinks was a little above average.

Hotel Refurbishment - Horendous

This is about the 4th we have stayed at the hotel and every visit has been delightful... except this last one.

As we have a loyalty card we asked if we could keep the room untill approximately 14h00, and of course this was not a problem... The hotel was under refurbishment at this time and we was not informed of this at the time of booking... It started about 08h00 annoying little banging noises which throughout the morning got louder and louder AND LOUDER... by lunch time me and my partner had to shout to have a conversation it was horendous... if we had known about the refurbishment we would not have chosen to stay there on this visit... Surely a hotel of that size could put guests on one side of the hotel and work on the other side and vis versa... but no work was being carried out rite over the top of our heads and was such a terrible experience... This was mentioned at reception when checking out ( earlier than we would have liked, we both had splitting head ache), we mentioned some kind of compensation or even waive the £40 bar bill, but we were declined... absolutely nothing was offered, not even a snak or a free drink in the bar... in the past we rated the hotel 110% in everything... but this time minus 110%... a £100 a nite hotel with drilling, banging, sawing and goodness knows what other tools were being used, going on rite above us... NO THANK YOU...

Good location

Price / quality, we paid a special offer and we expected a better quality hotel. The rooms do not have a hair dryer, the covers were with cigarretts spots, poor quality rooms comparing to price. We had to wait until 15.00 to get in the room as upon arrival was not cleaned yet

Close to central railstation. Excellent restaurants close to hotel.

Rooms were a little small But this is Amsterdam and you dont come here to spend all day in your room!Heating was still set to summertime they only turn it up if you ask.

handy location close to dam square and central station

very over priced for what is a 2/3 star hotel at best i was givin a handycapped bedroom which was not what i was expecting was looking for the queen size bed that was suggested in the hotel reveiw will never stay here again
