Ideal location with perfect connection to public transport.
I had the bad luck of getting there on a very hot day (exceptional!) and the airco being out of order...ai, was it hot!!!! the next day, things cooled off!
“My tip: Also within easy reach of the night bus 538”

staff unbelievably helpful; internet flies; room quiet neat and clean you can take the 24/26? forget tram and walk 1/2 block easy trip to the airport if you have an early morning flight 3 stops and you're at another train station . i loved the hotel -- just the location did not work for me . rkkjr
location is terrible if you want to have some night life in the dam as the trams stop at midnight and you have to negotiate thenight bus from centraal station; i went home before that to avoid the issue. much easier to stay closer in and just walk
“My tip: stay closer in if you want night life and really want to be near the center. if you are doing tours it doesn't matter .. move this hotel 3 miles closer to the city and i'd be back in an instant”

Location, just outside city center, few minutes from museums, parks, WTC and Leidse plein.
Not a 4 star hotel. Cable ducts everywhere, no coffee/tea facilities, mediocre bed. "Desk/Working area" was a table roughly 60 by 40 centimeters. Only interesting if you can get a cheap offer, else to expensive.

Quiet location and friendly staff.
Breakfast very basic and no other catering available (other than take away menu). Distance from city centre also a problem. Building work was ongoing when i was there.

The hotel was really cosy. I enjoyed most the quiet area where it was located. I also liked the Breakfast/Dining area, that smelled like hot coffee and was really warm and friendly. The coffee was very good, it was complimentary. The breakfast was also excellent, with plenty to choose from. Overall, a very good feeling about the hotel.
The hotel was not too close to the City centre. The room could have been bigger, although for the one night I stayed it perfectly fulfilled its duty of simple bedroom. It was at least clean, unlike many other reviews I read about centrally located places. There were also no rats, of which I read a lot in other hotels' reviews and which horrified me.The price was medium for an expensive city like Amsterdam, altough compared to other European cities it was quite high.

Not too large, good value as includes breakfast. Comfortable large rooms for price.
No tea facilities in room but available free in bar. Small basin in bathroom with bad tap that gets in the way.No plug in basin. Quite a bit out of city centre but very near tram/night bus stop.

Very close to Train Station South (Zuid) by tram. Also close to conference centers and the VU (university). Perfect for the business traveler but also for families. Cots available at no charge. Spacious rooms. Not on a main street, so it's very quiet at night, even with the windows open. Great breakfast! Kind service all around!
Walking distance to the museum quarter, but if you're planning on heading much further into the center on a daily basis, you'd probably need to take the tram or bike there. Still, it's exactly what we did and it went very well.

Vey friendly and polite staff. Also if you are the ground floor you have a small patio with the room
the ground floor room is situated close too the main office. These guys start work early so be prepared to be woken early by the sound of a very loud beeping noise coming from the office

Friendly and helpful staff, easy to access by public transport and in a nice quiet street. Good location for Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum.
Noise from room above- better insulation between floors would be useful.

It was wonderful to sleep with the windows open, with the air wafting in from a quiet street, leafy and beautiful.
The bed was a bit short (but this could be because I\'m a bit tall, 1.86m)
