Hotel De Hallen Amsterdam is established in an industrial building in the Oud-West (Old West) area. The Fashion and Museum district lies within walking distance, as do the canals and the former working-class area of the Jordaan. It's also lovely to take a stroll past the little shops in the "9 straatjes" (nine streets) area.
In terms of interior decoration, preference is given to Scandinavian furniture and design, an abundance of plants and a fine selection of contemporary art. The hotel rooms offer a view of the city and the courtyard and come with COCO-MAT beds, a flatscreen SMART television, air conditioning, a rain shower, a mini-bar and a Nespresso machine. For business meetings, the hotel offers a conference room for a maximum of 25 persons.
Surroundings
Hotel De Hallen Amsterdam lies in the Oud-West area, within walking distance of the Vondelpark and the Leidseplein. The number 13 tram, which stops near the hotel, will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in just 15 minutes. In the immediate surroundings you'll find interesting museums including the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum. A day out at Artis Zoo is also highly recommended. The zoo is easy to get to with the number 14 tram.
