Around the Museumplein one can find the 'Rijksmuseum', the 'Stedelijk Museum' and the 'Van Gogh Museum'. I had a last minute booking, and thus it was rather cheap and good value for price. Spacious room, good shower

Room was large, small refrigerator was useful, free internet-computer in reception was very welcome. Good location (approx. 15-20 mins walk from city centre in an easy straight line). Welcome was very friendly and staff were helpful. Many channels on TV.
Very steep stairs - difficult for old people or small children and for carrying suitcases up, wifi was useless, decor is shabby (but clean), no breakfast availability nearby, noise from trams means windows must be kept closed at night.

Easy for people who want to stay near the Portuguese Synogue. still regular keys, no problems for shabbat with light,doors etc. Just bring a shabbat belt, it is outside of the eruv.

The location of the hotel is excellent for the main attractions in Amsterdam and is almost opposite the zoo.
We stayed in the small attic room on the top floor, room 34. The room looks like it has recently been renovated, which at first sight is good however the plumbing in the tiny bathroom has not been done properly. The room constantly smells of toilet waste as it sits in the pipes. It was unbearable.

Loved the bus direct from hotel to Airport. So much easier than carrying bags to Centraal Station and getting train.
Stairs!! But it\'s Amsterdam.
