Hotel V Nesplein lies within a stone's throw of the Dam, surrounded by theatres and great places for going out. Nevertherless, you won't even have to leave the hotel in order to enjoy an entertaining evening. The Lobby in the hotel is a large space where locals and international guests are able to meet each other. Besides an informal restaurant there is also a bar and even a small stage suitable for cultural events.
Particularly unusual is the addition of a mini stage and a sound system in several of the hotel rooms, allowing actors and musicians to rehearse their perfomance whilst staying in Amsterdam. The spacious, luxurious rooms include a flatscreen television, free Wi-Fi and a safe. The hotel believes in sustainability and applies this ethos for instance when purchasing ingredients for the restaurant's dishes.
The first establishment of Hotel V on Frederiksplein has been open since 2008. Here guests are able to enjoy good quality for a reasonable price. This also applies to the hotel's second establishment on Nesplein. The hotels share the fact that they are run by Amsterdammers who simply want guests to get acquainted with the authentic and inspirational side of Amsterdam.
Surroundings
Hotel V Nesplein's location is very convenient for a trip to the theatre or a day of shopping. The Dam with Madame Tussauds is just around the corner, as is Kalverstraat. Also easy to reach on foot are Waterlooplein and Rembrandtplein. Hotel staff will gladly offer tips and advice to allow you to experience the city as a local; so surprise yourself!
Food and Drink
The Lobby is a great meeting place with a restaurant, a bar and a small stage. The interior design incorporates influences from the world of theatre and the 1930s, which are coupled with a raw and modern edge.The menu in the bar and restaurant offers tasty drinks and dishes in every price range. Wherever possible products are sourced locally in and around Amsterdam. The Lobby is a good place to meet for either a cup of coffee, a romantic dinner for two or a nice drink with friends after a theatre show. The outdoor terrace is open in summer and the fireplace crackles in winter. The restaurant and bar are open daily from 07:00 until midnight.

Size of rooms and quality of furnishings. Great hotel staff. Location.
We considered the price to be quite high. When we next plan a trip to Amsterdam, we ll be looking at other possible options, rather than automatically re-booking at the Hotel V.
