Allowed to smoke in room. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. New bathroom.

It felt like I was lying with my feet in the air ... There is a big slant in bedroom floor like a ramp. Also the radiator doesn t work too well so quite cold in room.

The location of the hotel, the helpful reception team and the breakfast.

Our 5 five persons room contained 4 beds and 1 bed from 2 mattresses, unfortunately it was mine... I had no well night during the stay, it was very uncomfortable and I had backache because of the mattressbed.

For the price I found the stay very good, very friendly staff and nice breakfast buffet!

Stairs to my room was very small and twisty but it certainly adds character!!

Smke friendly comparatively chp, amazingly located for Rd Light &

1* so what do you expect - Comparatively cheap. Simple and clean (Except for old bubble gum stuck to wall in room) Shower was grim looking but clean, powerful and really hot. Insanely close to Station and at top of the Red Light.

In a single room at top of building so long walk up and very low ceiling with beams that I banged my head on a few times (but am tall).

Amazing location

FANTASTIC LOCATION, great price, friendly people, comfortable beds, and seriously the location alone makes it PERFECT!! Like three minutes away from central station, and right at the beginning of the Red Light District. PERFECT!

Steep winding stairs of course, only bad for people who are afraid of stairs or have difficulty with stairs, otherwise not at all a problem; pretty noisy 24/7, so not for a relaxing couples' trip.

De Mallemoolen Amsterdam is a good choice

Basic hotel for young brits on a tight budget, that wana get high.

We were allowed to smoke weed out the back of the hotel!! good for young people that wana have a laugh and like to smoke cannabis as there is lots of coffee shops near by and pubs! Very nice staff.clean towel and room everyday.free breakfast! location literally round the corner from red light district.if your just lookin for somewhere half decent to crash out after going out on a crazy one, this is for u.good for couples.There was a good variety of drinks in the morning, tea, hot chocolate, apple, orange, pinapple, tropical etc.Nothing got stolen from us! just an all round good hotel> veRy happY dayZ man! we miss it! good price!

Small cramped room.very basic.had to give in key every time we went out, which was a little uncomforting, but we always kept our most important stuff on us so we didnt really mind.got a bit of a rash from a horrible itchy blanket on the bed, so we just didnt use it and used the other ones on the bed.the breakfast was good for free but the only hot food was hard boiled eggs! no fry up or even toast.shared shower, but at least it was hot and clean.not much really, maybe not so good for older people or bigger families.steep stairs but thats everywhere u go in amsterdam.

room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived. one morning, one of the other guests smoked in the toilet which smelled for several hours afterwards

OK for some...

If you are going to Amsterdam for a stag do or with a group of blokes for a crazy weekend then this hotel will suffice due to it\'s great central location effectively in the RLD. In almost any other circumstances however I suggest you look elsewhere.

Not all rooms have en-suite, location is perhaps too colourful for some guests, noisy, communal bathrooms and showers were horrible....

all in all OK!
