Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam
Top hotel 687 Reviews
Amstelstraat 17, Amsterdam Map
Hotel
Situated on the edge of the lively Rembrandtplein, you will find the Rembrandt Square Hotel Amsterdam, which is easily accessible by car as well as by public transport. The tram has a stop on the Rembrandtplein and there is a metro stop on Waterlooplein. But after you have checked in, you will probably not need public transport anymore because most attractions are within walking distance, such as the renowned museums, shopping streets, markets and of course the entertainment venues that the Rembrandtplein is famous for. The staff at the concierge desk in the lounge can provide any information about Amsterdam for both the corporate and the leisure traveller.
You can enjoy a good night's rest in the elegantly decorated rooms and suites that are all equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, LCD television, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, hair dryer and high speed internet connection. The hotel also has an internet corner in the lobby, an elevator and the renowned brasserie FLO, where you can enjoy lunch and dinner in a Parisian atmosphere.
Surroundings
There are many possibilities to go shopping in the close vicinity of the hotel. The well known Kalverstraat and the Waterlooplein, where you can roam around the flee market daily (except for Sundays), are just a short stroll away. Culture lovers can indulge themselves in the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum that are all located at the Museumplein.
Food and Drink
The international breakfast buffet is served daily between 07:00 and 10:30 h. You can enjoy your lunch and dinner at brasserie FLO from where you can choose from the many French specialties on the menu. When you enter the restaurant you will immediately imagine yourself in France due to the essentially French extensive buffet of shell-fish and seafood. Let yourself be pampered with the culinary specialties and the excellent service. Naturally, you can relax with a snack or a drink in the hotel bar afterwards.

Modern decor. Comfortable beds. High tech bathrooms.
Internet did not work in our room . The safe had no instruction in English. No iron.
“My tip: Get a room on the higher floors or else you will hear the tram all night.”

Great location, friendly staff, lovely executive room.
Breakfast vastly overpriced
“My tip: There's a Wagamama's directly opposite the hotel which is perfect for a quick lunch.”

Location - excellent base for ease of getting to most sites of interest either by easy walking or for going by tram. Rembrandt Square vibrant atmosphere
Service - staff friendly and helpful
Breakfast at an extra flat rate 17.50 euros per person per day expensive particularly if only want a "continental breakfast" option however plenty of choice nearby outside hotel

AMAZING BED. so huge. mostly good for couples. there's a 'coffeshop' just a few meters away. perfect for young couples who want to have fun in amsterdam. very clean, close to city center, very modern rooms,
a bit pricey, 2 nights 360euros... they tell you the city tax is included but its not, you pay extra. the bathroom doors were glass and you could hear EVERYHING thats going on in there.

Staff very friendly and very helpful. We flew to Schipol, caught the train to Amsterdam Central and the metro into Renbrandt sq, which in total took about 20mins. Journey very straight forward. Hotel location is brilliant, right in the middle of everything you need to see, within walking distance.
I honestly can't think of a minus point for the hotel. Oh! The mini bar in the rooms, don't use it, very expensive!

Easy to reach by tram from the central station, quiet although near the busy Rembrandt Square, Herrengracht with nice old houses in a few min walking distance, - I stayed in this hotel 5-6 times already and it is definitely my favorite

Great Location.
Carpets look dirty. Toilet is nice but no privacy or noise reduction with glass doors.

Our sink would not drain, I reported it and someone came to our room very quickly to fix it. The front desk personnel are very helpful and easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay.

This is the perfect location for access to great restaurants, shopping, walking, and the flower market. Despite being next to Rembrandt Square, it is quiet. Everyone is very nice. The rooms are modern in design. We have returned 7 times in the last 3 years to this particular hotel.
Internet is slow many times during the day and that can be frustrating. In some rooms the modern tub/showers are tricky to negotiate for larger people -- but just ask for shower-only room.

Great location, right in the centre of Amsterdam. The room was great, and the bathroom even better. Free internet access is always a plus for someone who, like me, usually travels for work reasons!
And if you book early, as I did, you can get a great price, for Amsterdam standards!
Although it didn't bother me, the room faced a rather busy street, which meant that you could actually hear quite a lot of noise: at night, because it is close to one of the busiest night attraction area; in the early morning, because of the trams going by in the narrow street.

Friendly helpful staff, early check in, very comfortable beds, quiet environment, extremely convenient location, excellent shower room, adjacent restaurant/brasserie very high standard of cuisine and service, spacious reception and concierge service
(opaque) glass-enclosed shower and toilet not very private, customised TV not very sensitive or responsive, WiFi facility excessively expensive (this is a a very poor feature of hotel as people now expect WiFi as standard), customers should be told about city tax on arrival not when settling the bill.

Very good Bed
Good shower
The dirtiest carpet I have ever seen in a four star hotel in Holland both in the first as in the second room that was given to me after complaints about the terrible noise from all sides. What a lack of respect for your customers!
A very cheap built hotel: poorest quality isolation against noise from the floor/corridor and the street; via the doors you hear anything happening on the floor. If there would have been a higher standard of hygiene and isolation against noise I would have given an overall 7 out of 10

convenience to sightseeing and restaurants. Helpful staff at both entrances. Loved the room.
would have liked an iron. Great theme "There you go"
one night towels forgotten along with shampoo etc. Cups rinsed out and not washed even on our first night. Minor things but you asked.

A good standard breakfast, clean environment, a quiet hotel & surroundings.
When checking in, there was no presentation of the breakfast, lobby bar, or other hotel services.
