I usually stay at the Rokin Hotel when in Amsterdam and would recommend staying here. It s a charming place, quiet, very clean, with a good selection of food for breakfast, friendly staff and in the centre of town making it s access very easy.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rokin. For the price, the room was clean and comfortable and the location could not have been better. We arrived quite early as we were coming off of a cruise boat, expecting to store our luggage and return later, however our room was ready and we checked right in. Breakfast was very well done and had a large variety to choose from.

Budget, clean, helpful hotel

Price including breakfast, and cleanliness, is justified. On last day, breakfast was offered early, because I had to leave early. This was sincerely appreciated.

Small rooms. Outside road construction noise during day. I thought inside noise might be problem because rooms are so tight, but all guests respected each other and no problem.

“My tip: If you don't mind very small room and tight access stairs, hotel has everything you would normally expect with full private bath/shower, and with breakfast, - a good price for that location in Amsterdam. Note it does have elevator through third floor. I don't know if rooms for 2 people are any bigger - and I could not take that.”

Comfortable room in a good location

Location is excellente and room are big enough for a comfortable stay

Room was a little bit smelly but after a while we got used to it. Room probably need a bit of refurbishment

Good, centrally located budget accommodation

Basic but comfortable and clean, decent breakfast too. About as good as you could expect in this price bracket in central Amsterdam too. Centrally located is a bonus.

But... central location also means it can be a tad noisy during the day and late at night.

WiFi on 4th floor not working throught my 3 nights stay and the hotel didn't do anythiing about it. Had to go to lobby to use WiFi. Very small single room Housekeeping didn't replace tiny bath soap throughout my stay. 4th floor doesn't have elevator (goes up to 3rd only) Breakfast menu the same every day. Not good for long stays.

Location is very good, close but not too noisy. Breakfast is great. Staff is most friendly and helpful.

The staff were extremely helpful and were happy to supply tea when requested. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. The hotel is clean and comfortable and easy to get to.

We would have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles, but it was not a problem. Also a few more english speaking tv channels or a movie channel would have been nice.

Very welcoming place...

The Hotel is located very close to the Central Station and one of the main squares, Dam Square, as well as other very interesting sites to be visited..... The service is very good, rooms are comfortable and equiped with all one would need. I think is the perfect hotel to stay while visiting Amsterdam.

Frequent stayed

Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always had a pleasant stay this time my flights were cancelled for my return journey.The hotel was very helpful and I was able to book my room for a further 3 nights.The staff are always pleasant and helpful

It is very clean, Ok sized rooms and are heated, Hot water anytime was available for showering, great breakfast, overall friendly staff members and helpful. It was Ok to check in before the check in time.

Only one staff member was rude with his attitude, though there is no need to overlook all the posetive aspects of the hotel because of this.

Convenience And Value For Money.

Breakfast is excellent with a good selection. Location of the hotel is about 500 yards from Dam Square which makes it ideal for shopping and/or night life. Staff are very friendly.

I have stayed in the hotel four times now and have found the rooms at the rear a lot quieter as you get noise from traffic and trams, also the Metro extension which is being built outside has been in construction stage for a long time but I must say it looks like its nearly completed.
