Very small room facing the opposite building by some few meters

    Nice location

Although including a double bed, and consequently called a double room, it is one of the smallest rooms I have stayed in. No desk and no chair.

    Good Location but.....

Location is very central and convenient. Also very attractive area in which to stay. Staff in hotel were very friendly and keen to help

Our room was very dirty! Had not been cleaned properly and towels not changed. Poor standard of repair to room also unless you have a canal facing room you do not have a view at all. This would not be so bad if the room had been spotlessly clean.

“My tip: Cafes abound in this area we enjoyed Cafe de Hoek on Prinsengracht. Anne Frank House is a must and also the newly refurbished and renovated Rijksmuseum.”

    Great location and desk staff

Fantastic location in a quiet, picturesque street overlooking one of the canals, yet just a few minutes walk from the central train station and all the sites. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the decor is contemporary, bright and pleasant.

The carpets were dingy, and the mattress sank in badly in the middle.

“My tip: The elevator does not go to the top floor - climbing the very steep stairs with luggage was a challenge.”

    vriendelijk

    Mediocre

    Well-located.

Noisy heaters with difficult controls. Small rooms. Ours had a shower only. Specifically requested a room with one double bed and got a room with two twins instead. Wish we had returned to the NH Doelen.

    Great hotel

Great hotel, very friendly staff, wonderful location.

The rooms are small, not a problem for me but if you want a spacious room it would be.

The staff were very pleasant and efficient.

Generally the helpfulness of the staff is to be praised.

We felt it a bit outrageous that we were charged to have a cup of tea or coffee, apart from during breakfast. Such hot drinks from a machine should be available free at any time of the day.

Good hotel, comfortable and clean. Made the stay enjoyable.

Very comfortable and clean room,no complaints at all.

City view was none existent as we were facing the city but there was no view to be seen unless you like looking at the back of other peoples houses.

great location, friendly staff & nice rooms.

The Times hotel is located in the Jordaan area which is close enough to the nightlife and cultural areas but not noisy or overly full of tourists. It's a beautiful and quiet district and only 10 minutes walk from Centraal Station. The hotel itself is reasonably priced for the area, but a little tired (I really do mean a little.) The staff were lovely and very helpful. A great base for exploring the city. There is a safe in each room, and hair-dryers are available on request. Comfy beds. unlike many small hotels in Amsterdam there is a lift.

tea and coffee would have been nice in the room, but it's next door to a coffee shop so not really an issue.

Cosy hotel in a nice location.

    Location

The room we got was just above the reception (very noisy) We also paid for a canal view but the window was on floor level so it was more of a street view. If this is what you get when booking online then we'll try somewhere else.

We LOVED this hotel! Cheaper than most near the center and yet just a few canals away from the tourist center so it felt like we were living in the neighborhood! Rooms are small but all the more charming as it is an old canal house. Lovely canal views with safe and toilet/shower in room! Staff was friendly and helpful and we could walk / bike to everything... would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

Location is very good. Is a very quiet place

The worst, I think is the breakfast that seems to be little industrial (is not natural foods)

    the hotel is right downtown

170euros for a room supposed to be with a canal view... and instead having a pavement view (room151 if I remember correctly)it\'s just not correct towards the customers... I thought by putting 170euros in a hotel room I\'ll have at least a bigger room and this view that was advertised... I had none of it. I was disappointed and will frankly never come back in this hotel.
