Surroundings
Fletcher Hotel Rooland lies on the edge of the village of Arcen, close to Arcen's thermal baths and near De Maasduinen National Park; a vast area of heaths and sand drifts. Arcen's famous landmark is its castle, which is surrounded by beautiful rose gardens. Popular nearby attractions also include the Hertog Jan Brewery and the Grain Distillery. Arcen is situated close to the German border, and cities such as Nijmegen and Eindhoven are easy to reach.
Food and Drink
A breakfast buffet is available between 07:00 and 11:00. It is possible to enjoy a lovely dinner in the à la carte restaurant's ambient setting. The restaurant offers a view of the Maas Valley and is defined by fresh produce, seasonal and regional dishes; with asparagus, mushroom and game dishes gracing the menu. The pleasant lounge/bar with comfortable armchairs provides a lovely spot for unwinding after a busy day. And on sunny days you can luxuriate on the spacious outdoor terrace.

Children/extra beds: One child aged 2 or under can stay in the parents' room free of charge. A cot can be added in the room at a surcharge of €10 per night. Breakfast was OK, location was good. Still 50 minutes from Dusseldorf airport though.
The room was old and small. The beds were very old. The bathroom was small, quite an achievement how they fitted a toilet, sink and shower in there. The television was an old CRT that you wouldn t even pick up from the garbage. This hotel is 3 stars at best, I don t understand why it would be worth 4 stars. Fletcher hotels are usually this way though, very outdated.

The rooms are spacious; the hotel has a nice atmosphere and is well placed for someone who wants to be out in the countryside with paths to walk or bike around. The thermal baths close by are apparently popular. Breakfast was good and adequate.
Staff could be better trained in providing information in terms of accuracy and in a courteous form. A hotel can and will sell its products only if it can get recruits out of customers.Minutiae make the difference.

Good clean hotel with plenty of parking facileties nearbij Venlo and Venray. Excellent breakfast buffet. Reduced price ok but the regular price is to high.
In the first way the room price was € 12 more than the booking price. I can't say that it was on purpose and they made an inmidiate correction when I complained.
