Near the Castle garden in the town centre our only reason fir staying

Staff did not tell us they had a car park when we asked where to so we had to use the church car park some distance away. Our evening meal was so bad in Sunday evening they refunded the cost. Then they told us to walk to the castle to avoid the 4 Euro car park charges without selling us entrance tickets. Then when we found the box office would not accept any foreign credit or debit cards as their machines were too old to accept chip and pin technology and we could have bought them at the hotel!

Friendly staff, Unfriendly building!!

All the staff were friendly and very helpful and spoke excellent English (thank you - dank u wel). Breakfast - excellent. Restaurant food although a bit pricey and small choice of menus was tasty. Tea/Coffee making facility in rooms would have been more convenient than costly dispensing machines in the corridor.

A family room was booked which did not meet our needs. Even though a telephone booking was made where staff member was told about one member of the family being an elderly person with a very painful arthritic knee, the family room (with a bathroom and toilet upstairs) was at the back of the hotel, up many flights of stairs and NO lift!!! Although staff were sympathetic at the time, this did not compensate for the suffering of my elderly relative. No English tourist information or adaptor plugs!

Beautiful getaway in a small town called Arcen

this hotel is so clean, bfast great, and v v v friendly. they treat us like family. when they know Tt it's not easy for my mom to visit Floriade by bus/train, Rinia drove us there, brought cute Joel her son.

location kinda far from everywhere if you wanna going around. it's wonderful place to rest n relax tho

A lovely hotel in a lovely village

A nice hotel right in the center of a lovely village on the River Maas. The village is quiet, but interesting, and there are excellent opportunities for running or bicycling, possibly including ferries across the river and back. My room was larger and better appointed than most similarly-priced hotels I've stayed at in Holland. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was not bad, but it was not as good as the other aspects of Hotel Arcen, which were all very good.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I'm just sorry that I was only passing through. Next time I'll be sure to stay longer and take a look around. It looked beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly - as a woman travelling alone this is really important to me.

A gem of a hotel right on the town square

This Hotel far exceeded our expectations From checking in to checking out nothing was too much trouble the staff were helful friendly and proffessional. The rooms were really clean and well presented and breakfast was really good The Hotel itself is situated in the middle of the town right on the square. It was within walking distance of the river and castle and we enjoyed our stay immensly especially as we combined our visit with the Holland Koi Show I can thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel for all ages

Midweek geboekt met zoontje 10jr. Dit is een Hotel/Restaurant. Uitgedrukt in cijfers: Hotel 6,5 Restaurant 8,5. PLUSPUNTEN HOTEL: goede prijs aanbieding, gratis parkeren, ligging lekker rustig geen verkeer aan gezellig dorpsplein, bedden en sanitair redelijk. PLUSPUNTEN RESTAURANT: echt heerlijk gegeten, sjiek, eten bijna artistiek opgemaakt als schilderij, complimenten voor de keuken. Het is wel vrij prijzig maar zeker de moeite waard. Ook ontbijt was perfect. Geen lullige ontbijtbordjes, gewoon groot. Geen lullige messen en vorken, gewoon luxe bestek. Alles voorradig. Lekkere broodjes. Perfecte eitjes. Geen gezeur aan je hoofd zoals wat is uw kamernummer want ontbijt is inclusief. Ook geen gezeur wilt u koffie/thee, gewoon lekker zelf pakken.

MINPUNTEN HOTEL: geen airconditioning dus extreem warm op de kamer, gelukkig had ik eigen ventilator meegenomen, uitzicht belabberd (dak, pijpen, stenen), omloop rond bed veel te krap (\'je kont niet keren\'), stoelen veel te groot voor tafeltje, geen koelkast gelukkig zelf koelbox via 12V-220V meegenomen, ouderwetse sleutels kan gemakkelijk gekopieerd worden, meeste hotels hebben soort creditcards veel veiliger, geen internet-mogelijkheid (ook geen internet-cafe in de buurt) echt ongelooflijk in dit internet-tijdperk. MINPUNTEN RESTAURANT: er is een handige achteruitgang naar de parkeerplaats, maar de vertrekkende gasten lopen met hun koffers door de ontbijtzaal, erg storend. Geen airconditioning, weliswaar paar lullige ventilatoren maar nog steeds bloedjewarm in ontbijtzaal, veel last van vliegen zowel in ontbijtzaal als buiten tijdens diner.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We were put in a room above the kitchen and the heat was unbearable. At night the room was hotter than outside.
