Hotel
Hotel De Maasparel lies in the historic centre of Arcen, within a stone's throw of the river Maas. The hotel has an excellent restaurant with an outdoor terrace, which is in full swing during the summer months. The hotel furthermore offers free parking and a secure bike shed. The hotel rooms have been completely refurbished at the start of 2017. The new interiors were inspired by the hotel's immediate surroundings. Three different atmospheres have been created. Beer lovers will definitely appreciate staying in one of the Hertog Jan Rooms. The other rooms are inspired by the river Maas and the hotel's woody, green environment. All rooms come with free WiFi, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, comfortable beds, and a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. The presence of a desk in the rooms ensures that business guests will also have an optimal stay. And for an ultimate experience, the hotel has a Suite. Besides offering a private sauna, this Suite also boasts a whirlpool.
Surroundings
Arcen is located along the river Maas, close to De Maasduinen national park. This area consists of sandy terrain and heaths, and is inhabited by goats, sheep, and Galloway cattle. Arcen is known for its castle, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The thermal baths of Arcen are just 2 kilometres from the hotel, and offer three outdoor swimming pools, an indoor pool with thermal water, and sauna facilities. Cities such as Nijmegen and Eindhoven can easily be reached from Arcen, and the Belgian and German borders are also a mere stone's throw away.
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is served on Monday to Friday from 07:30 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:30 until 10:30. Breakfast can be set up as early as 07:00 on special request. The atmospheric restaurant De Maasparel serves seasonal dishes; featuring asparagus in the spring, and mushrooms and game in the autumn. What's more, desserts, bonbons, and patisserie take pride of place in the kitchen of Restaurant De Maasparel. It's also possible to enjoy a High Beer with a tasting session of different Hertog Jan beers. The restaurant is open daily from 12:00 until 21:00.

Nice location.
Price was high for amenities. Room was in attic space so had to duck down to clear beams. Hit head once walking under beam.
“My tip: Don't use the ATM down the street to get Euros from Visa cash card. They charge exorbitant rates and fees. ”

A very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
Due to the location of our room, we had some noise from the person in the room above when he clumped down the open tread stairs that were above our room.

We had a very comfortable and spacious room in the "attic". The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Good buffet breakfast and excellent dinner. Quiet at night. Very good location as a base for touring (by car or bicycle) North Limburg.
Our bedroom - in the roof - would probably be very hot in the summer months.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Food excellent.very good breakfast.Beautiful village, and interesting area. Bathroom very clean and well presented.
I had requested a quiet room.I was given room 18.It was directly over the kitchen.i was able to hear the staff walking in the kitchen, using the dishwasher, microwave oven bleeping from 18.00 to 24.00hrs every day. Then I was woken by the noise from the kitchen in the early morning hours. 07.00am. I also was unable to get my car out from the car park one afternoon, because workmen had blocked the exit. They did not offer to move their vehicle. This ruined my plans.
“My tip: Make sure you do not get the rooms over the kitchen, it is too noisy.”

The food was REALLY nice, i really enjoyed the taste. The beds were very comfortable The bathroom was roomy and clean
The room tended to get a bit too hot at times More selection in food would of made it even better.

Locatie in arcen
Kamer op de 1e verdieping aan het terras hierdoor geen raam open kunnen zetten i.v.m. geluidsoverlast. Niet handig om met een kinderwagen steeds de trap op te moeten.

We arrived late due to traffic, the chef kept the kitchen open and presented a wonderful meal.
We went for the cheapest room - the windows were facing the main strett.
