The 4-star hotel De Bonte Wever is situated near the A28 motorway in Assen. What's great about this hotel is that it offers everything in one location. Hotel De Bonte Wever is located in Assen, the provincial capital of Drenthe. A nice walk or bike ride through the neighbouring Asserbos woods will take you to the centre. There you'll find the Koopmansplein square with its many shops and pavement cafés, a great place to sit outside and enjoy a refreshing drink. Besides the Vaart, with its beautiful boats, and the shopping centres 'Forum' and 'Mercurius', Assen is well-known for its Drents Museum and TT Circuit. What's more, there is also plenty to see and do in the surroundings. In nearby Exloo, you can enjoy seeing the heaths and the village's well-known flock of sheep. A poignant place to visit is the former concentration camp of Westerbork, just 15 minutes from the hotel. Veenhuizen Prison Museum isn't far away either. And the vibrant university town of Groningen is just a 20-minute drive away.

They have nice play areas for the kids
Pool was broken. En when it started working again it was cold. So could not enjoy that. There was blood on the blanked from the side, which they folded in to the bed and I only saw later on. Lunch is only till 2. No kettle with coffee and tea, rooms are very small and gray. No room service, cleaners are playing loudly in the hallway

Hotel ticked all the right boxes for a night during the world super bike race weekend. Room as described on internet and staff could not be more helpful. A five minute drive from the track and an easy walk for those enjoying the dutch hospitality.

The wave pool complex was fun. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was bounteous.
Having to insert the key card to keep the air conditioning going was inconvenient - we had to re-cool the room when we returned from the pool. The "hot tubs" where the same temperature as the regular pools, but maybe that was so kids could also use them.

Good location to Assen for the moto gp,If you are too old to get the tent out.Good parking and good food all within the complex.
Far to expensive for what you get for you money. No kettle coffee or tea. No mini bar, we came over on the overnight ferry and all of this was in our cabin free, yes free!! coffee tea free mini bar with nuts four little bottles of wine two cans beer can of orange and water, and some fruit .
Not impressed the ferry was so much better.
