Hotel

Hotel Mastbosch Breda's charming façade shelters a historic hotel with modern facilities. The hotel dates back to 1897 and lies on the edge of the centuries-old Mastbos woods. Within walking distance you'll find the bustling Ginnekenmarkt with lovely little boutiques, antique shops, and cosy pubs. Breda's atmospheric centre is just a 10-minute journey away by car or public transport, while the green surroundings are simply perfect for long walks or a bike ride.

The comfortable hotel rooms feature a classic décor. Many rooms look out onto the Mastbos woods. The rooms come with a bathroom with a bath or shower and a toilet, a telephone with a direct external line, a television, a radio and a trouser press. A number of deluxe rooms also have a whirlpool. The suites come with an additional sitting area with a view, a desk, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning, a bathroom with a separate shower, a double bubble bath and underfloor heating.

Whether for business or celebratory events, the Grand Café Heeren van Oranje combined with beautiful natural surroundings is an ideal choice for a business stay or a weekend break.

Breda's Burgundian atmosphere is reflected in its antique shops, boutiques, and cafés surrounding the Ginnekenmarkt, which lies within easy walking distance of the hotel.

A breakfast buffet is served from 07:00 until 10:00 on weekdays, and from 08:00 until 10:30 at weekends.Adjoined to the hotel is the charming Grand Café Heeren van Oranje, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch, or an extensive dinner. The Grand Café exudes a historic atmosphere thanks to its anique bar and original fans. The restaurant serves surprising dishes stemming from French cuisine. The menu includes many local specialities and the staff is happy to offer you advice about a complementary wine. The Grand Café has a spacious terrace and drinks can also be ordered via room service.

    Lovely place

A wonderful place to stay, a bit old fashioned, but the room I stayed in was big and the location close to the forest was great. Very nice buffet breakfast

    No negative points

“My tip: It would be nice to have the possibility to get the starter as a main course (= slightly larger portions)”

A nice place to stay in Breda

This is the second time I stayed at Golden Tulip Mastbosch Breda. The staff is courteous and eager to help. The rooms are small but efficient. Non-smoking rooms are available however, for some reason the air in the room is stale. Renovation of the carpets would add a lot to the general impression of the hotel. I had to change my reservation two times due to several reasons and they were helpful to accommodate my needs. If I go back again, I would definitely stay there once again.

Friendly, peaceful and cosy hotel at the boarder of the city of Breda. Easy to make nice trips by bike or by foot. Not far from the center of the historic town. Beautiful area. Excellent food and friendly service.

Good hotel in an excellent location

A very comfortable hotel in a pleasing location with good facilities and helpful, friendly staff. Definitely a place we shall return to during our annual visits to Breda. Breakfast was enjoyable but cannot comment about other meals as we did not eat them in the hotel on this visit to Breda.

It would be good to make it possible to have hot drinks available to make in the room. Although I accept it is perhaps difficult to arrange for good coffee to be avialable in the room other drinks could be provided.

Location by the woods giving good possibilty for walks etc. Grand cafe attached very attractive and worth the visit

Room we had was less than 4 star, it was somewhat cramped and dull. Needed some tender loving care. Maybe because out of season but the hotel was \'dead\" when we arrived. Could only sit in dingy reception area where the cleanliness was questionable. The Grand Cafe had closed and therefore the main attraction of the public area was not available.

Ontbijt was OK.

Nice surroundings. Fine restaurant, good/kind service kind reception desk. Very tranquil. Nice outside terraces. Enjoyed our stay. Clean

The area near and in the rooms smelled badly, specially the corridors. Breakfast very simple. No hotelsafe?. Had to leave valuables in reception to be safed/trusted by the desk people.
