Hotel De Torenhoeve lies in the village of Burgh-Haamstede, in one of the Netherlands' most beautiful scenic areas. Enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides along countless rural paths. Bikes are available for hire at the hotel, and the dunes and beach lie within easy walking distance. You can enjoy space and peaceful surroundings throughout the year. De Torenhoeve is characterised by its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel offers contemporary facilities. The heated outdoor swimming pool is open from 1st May until 1st October (depending on the weather). The hotel furthermore has a sauna, a sunbed, a lounge and a recreation area. The sauna and sunbed are available at an additional charge. The hotel has a restaurant/bar, and also offers function rooms with air conditioning, flexible partitions and modern equipment. The hotel rooms come with a bath and/or shower, a telephone, a television, a fridge and a safe.
Surroundings
Hotel De Torenhoeve lies in the west of Schouwen-Duiveland, near the Westenschouwen nature reserve. Visitors can enjoy 8,145 acres of trees, sand paths, dunes and wide views of the sea. Situated between Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland is the impressive Oosterscheldekering. If you want to find out more about the delta works and marine life, you can visit the Neeltje Jans Deltapark - great fun for all ages!
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is available daily in the hotel from 08:00 until 10:00. Restaurant Torenhoeve is established in an atmospheric dune farm dating back to 1820. The outdoor terrace offers a lovely view of the Nieuw-Haamstede lighthouse. Local ingredients and seasonal produce, including beef and fish, take centre stage on the menu, which changes on a regular basis. Reservation is recommended. The restaurant is not open daily. From mid-May until mid-September, the restaurant is open on Wednesday to Sunday for dinner. From mid-September until mid-May, the restaurant is open on Thursday to Sunday for dinner. The restaurant is also open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
