Hotel
Hotel Tatenhove lies on one of the most beautiful sites of the island Texel and is surrounded by nature. A large garden with terraces surrounds the hotel and from the terrace, the sun room and from a large part of the rooms you can enjoy the magnificent view. Around the hotel various animals are held; there's an aviary, ponies, goats and tame and wild ducks.
In the hotel there's a lounge with bar, a fireplace, a billiard and a hairdressing salon. Most comfortable hotel rooms also have a sitting area and a terrace or balcony. The hotel also has bicycles for rent and within walking distance of the hotel you'll find a swimming pool, tennis courts and a riding school.
Surroundings
The largest Wadden island Texel has many faces. The beach, the Wadden Sea, friendly villages, interesting museums and beautiful nature where you can walk or cycle to your heart's desire... They all have their own charm, throughout the year. For instance, visit the Texel brewery where the white beer Texels Wit is made, the Maritiem Museum or the shipwreck and beach combers museum and listen to the beach combers stories. Also Ecomare, a shelter for seals and birds, is definately worth visiting.
Food and Drink
The excellent breakfast buffet is ready each morning. You can dine at the hotel; a daily changing 3-course menu is served. In the kitchen only daily fresh products are used. For a drink before or after dinner you can visit the hotel bar.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely laid-out hotel in a pleasant location. Good value bicycle hire from the hotel.
A kettle in the room would be nice.

Charming front and back garden where you can sit and enjoy the sun. We found the grounds so pleasant and enjoyed looking at the various animals around.

A very pleasant view from the dining hall, and a nice breakfast. Peaceful place with a short walk to the main street of De Koog. Nice and helpful staff.
