The 3-star Hotel Grand Canal is situated on one of Delft's most idyllic locations. The building's vaults and bars are reminiscent of its past as a prison. Delft railway station lies within 150 metres of the hotel and offers good train, bus, and trams links to all major locations in the area.

Surroundings
Delft is renowned for its delftware. The 'Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles' is the only remaining 17th century delftware factory, which is now also open as a museum. From the Hotel Grand Canal it's just a short stroll to the market square where you can see the 'Nieuwe Kerk' church and splendid town hall. The 'Oude Kerk' church is also well worth a visit. Apart from being a historic city, Delft is also a real student city with a vibrant nightlife. What's more, the nearby A4 and A13 motorways offer good connections to Leiden, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Amsterdam.

Hygiene , the personnal was extremely nice
It was beautiful to fall asleep and wake up next to the canal, but watch out for mosquitoes and the little bugs that the canal attracts So you have to close the windows at night. But don 39 t worry, it isn 39 t hot inside because there is a fan. And the sheets were a little too thick for this weither.

I am in Delft once a month on business and this is an excellent hotel for this. 3 minutes from the station, 10 minutes walk to the university, 5 minutes to the town centre. Decent breakfast, small but comfortable perfectly serviced rooms. The gallery sitting room is a nice plus when I have to sit and do some work.
