Shanghai Hotel Holland Delft is certainly not your average hotel, and you'll encounter its chic ambience as soon as you walk through its doors. The reception area and the restaurant are tastefully furnished to Western standards with Chinese accents. The hotel rooms also meet these same exacting standards; carefully decorated with typically Chinese chestnut furniture, an elegant folding screen, and incredibly comfortable beds. Delft historic city centre is approximately 10 minutes away by car or bicycle from the hotel. It's lovely to stroll along the canals, where you'll find nice cafés, shops and restaurants. Delft's rich history is reflected throughout the city, such as the Oude Kerk and Nieuwe Kerk churches, the latter of which houses the royal tombs. A trip to the 17th century earthenware factory, the Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles (Royal Porcelein Bottle), is also well worth undertaking.
Surroundings
It is easy to reach the nearby cities of Amsterdam, The Hague, Leiden and Rotterdam, either by car or by train. Bus and tram stops are situated near the Shanghai Hotel Holland Delft. Those wishing to escape the city can head to the nearby recreational area of De Delftse Hout with its large woods, a recreational pond, and numerous leisure facilities, including boat hire.

Very friendly staff, good WiFi, good size bed, free parking.
The hotel is kind of out of date. The Room and the shower could really be cleaner. Breakfast was not fresh, cheap juice from concentrate, and the place where the breakfast was served is way too small. No coffee machine in the room, tasteless coffie for breakfast. I really dunno where the four stars come from. Happily we didnt pay a lot, so it was ok just to sleep there one night.

Localisation of the hotel perfect and quirt. The hotel have a free parking which is a real plus point.
Room are nice and big but hygiene is not always perfect.

The service was very good and friendly. The Building is in a modern art of architecture. Really a nice looking Hotel.
The dust in the room is for every guest unacceptable. The aircondition in the room is very low. This two points doesn t match with the service and the lovely forniture. Dear Management....there is a lot of work waiting for you....you will lose guests, so don t miss.

BBC 1 and 2 TV was good for us English-speakers (from Australia).
Wi-Fi was not working in our room, and the Ethernet cable also didn't work. But the downstairs hotel hotspot was fine.

We were disappointed with the fact that the' free' wifi did not work in the rooms. We were not the only ones with this problem. When I told the desk clerk the morning that we left he said it tended not to work with handheld devices or tablets, but ours was a laptop and it didn't work at all.
Secondly, while takng showers every few minutes scalding, I mean scalding water would come out. This is dangerous as guests could be burned.
Finally, the site advertises 'blackout curtains', not

Location is perfect if you need to travel around Holland; close to highway entrance; also 5 mins away (by car) from city center;
Clean rooms.
Not sound proof; next door rooms activity sounds like inside your room; Also had to request daily for coffee sachets, because cleaning apparantly did not have a clue what to replace. Bad WIFI connectivity in rooms.

Excellent customer service. Excellent location off exit 8 when travelling by car.
Over 1.5 km from town centre. If you do not enjoy walking rent a bike .......

Living in hong kong away for weeks, nice place to stay and enjoy authentic food.
Maintenance and condition checking of room could improve as e.g. Curtains couldn't be closed as half of hooks of curtain was gone.
