Hotel Boven Groningen is situated opposite Delfzijl Railway Station. The hotel has an excellent grand café and restaurant as well as a cosy bar. Hotel staff are hospitable and will do their utmost to make your stay an extra pleasant one.
The bright hotel rooms come with a comfortable bed, a television and a telephone. The bathroom is fitted with a bath and/or a shower and a toilet. Guests can make free use of wireless internet at the hotel. Ample parking is available in front of the hotel and the hotel offers a safe bike shed.
Surroundings
Hotel Boven Groningen Delfzijl is situated close to the town's harbour. A huge event is organised here every summer called 'Delfsail', when hundreds and thousands of visitors flock to Delfzijl to see magnificent ships from all over the world. Delfzijl's little beach and shopping centre are also within walking distance of the hotel. Furthermore, you can venture out on lovely bike rides: Delfzijl is part of the international Dollard cycling route stretching 180 kilometres. Why not visit the picturesque fishing village of Termunterzijl, the Menkemaborg in Uithuizen or the lengthy coastal route along the Wadden Sea?
Food and Drink
A breakfast buffet is available every morning providing a good start to the day. Lunch is served in Grand Café & Restaurant Boven Groningen from Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 16:00. Dinner is served daily from 18:00, on reservation. The restaurant offers a 3-course dinner menu, varying each day and featuring a range of creative and diverse dishes. Besides good food, it's also possible to enjoy a cup of coffee or a refreshing beer here.
