The stylish Carlton Ambassador Hotel lies next to the centre of The Hague in the peaceful Mesdagkwartier. The boutique style hotel is situated in a beautiful monumental building on the stately Sophialaan. Several nice museums, galleries and theatres are within walking distance, just like the urban Zeeheldenkwartier. Whenever the weather allows it, you can enjoy a drink and a bite on the large and sunny terrace. The hotel is the perfect place to start your city trip to Thea Hague.
The hotel has 88 luxurious rooms that are divided into several room types. All rooms have a desk with a comfortable chair and wireless internet. The rooms have box-spring beds and special NASA-foam mattresses, which provide a very comfortable night's sleep. The lavish bathrooms all have a bath, shower, toilet and supplementary accessories.
Surroundings
Carlton Ambassador Hotel Den Haag is situated in the quiet Mesdagkwartier area on the edge of the centre of The Hague. The Panorama Mesdag museum and the royal palace Paleis Noordeinde are within walking distance. After a busy day in the centre you can relax in the green surroundings of the hotel. With public transport you can reach the beach and boulevard of Scheveningen within 15 minutes from The Hague city centre.
Food and Drink
The breakfast is served on weekdays from 06:30 until 10:00 h. and on the weekend between 07:00 and 10:30 h. The hotel has its own excellent restaurant and a lounge named Sophia. The chef and his team prepare delicious seasonal dishes. You could let the staff surprise you with a culinary three course meal called Menu Puur. Through the French doors you have a beautiful view of the terrace in front of the hotel. Next to the hotel is a lounge where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in front of the fire place. The restaurant is open daily from 07:00 until 21:30 h.

Overall impression, not something special I can point to
Stuffy, had to open both windows. mattress is uneven, rolled to the bed’s edge. Dirty spoon in room.

city center 10 minutes walk Mauritskade car park at 200 meters of the hotel with discount.
I booked a room with balcony but no availability according to the employee unpleasant, the problem was resolved to the manager who quickly understood the situation

Hotel staff were very friendly, rooms had all necessary facilities including bath robe, bath tub and showeries. We have also enjoyed fhe welcome drinks.
