On the southside of the island of Texel, in the middle of the woods, you will find the cosy Appartementenhotel Bos en Duin. From the hotel you can enjoy the magnificent view of the typical Texel landscape with woods, dunes and flocks of sheep on the pasture. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and cycling. Within walking distance lies the watchtower Fonteinsnol.

Surroundings
Texel offers a world of activities, such as the 10 kilometre long mountainbike route that runs near the Appartementenhotel Bos en Duin. Easily accessible by bike at just several kilometres away you will find the villages of Den Hoorn, De Koog and Den Burg. The attractive white church of Den Hoorn was built in 1425, and it still serves as a beacon for shipping. Nowadays many islanders make a living out of sheep farming. In spring the island is dotted with little lambs. If you would like to see these cute animals you are advised to try the Zuidroute of the local tourist office.

Great location, close to beach, trekking area, awesome view from room, no disturbance nearby, well equipped apartment, comfi bed and bath. All in all, great place to stay

Breakfast was ok and not worth the money (better to cook something in the kitchen, and enjoy it with beautiful view),

Really friendly personnel. We could stay in our room for some hours more than indicated by the agenda, without any problems. Breakfast was delicious. Our apartment was really nice and tidy.

Could get there easily by public transport.
A little too expensive.
Furthermore not too easy to shop food if you do not come by car. Taxis are very expensive (10 Euro One Way for 3 km to Den Burg)!
