The characteristic farmyard of Boutique Hotel en Boerderij restaurant De Gloepe is set between the trees, estates and unspoilt nature. The rustic hotel is centrally situated in the stunning Vechtdal area between Ommen, Hardenberg and Vriezenveen.

The Vechtdal has plenty of walking and cycling routes, spanning more than 1,300 kilometres with an extensive cycling network. Discover the idyllic Reestdal, walk across the Lemelerberg or through the village of Rheeze with its centuries-old thatched buildings. Tip: stock a picnic hamper with local produce and relax in these beautiful surroundings.

Surroundings
The hotel lies in the charming area of Diffelen, close to towns such as Ommen, Hardenberg and Vriezenveen; places with a rich history brimming with characteristic farms and beautiful nature. The River Vecht runs straight through this landscape, past picturesque villages, estates, woods and heathland. Bygone times are still visible in this area. Sail along the Vecht in a canoe or traverse historic paths through this diverse landscape. Those who love shopping will enjoy visiting Ommen and Hardenberg. A little further afield you'll find the theme park Slagharen (20-minute drive), the Wildlands Adventure Zoo (30-minute drive) and the city of Zwolle (35-minute drive).
Food and Drink
A centuries-old Saxon farm, where you'll find restaurant De Gloepe, is situated next to the hotel. Start your day here with a delicious fresh breakfast, served from 08:00 until 09:30. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 and offers a wide range of dishes. Enjoy a light or elaborate lunch, choose a dish from the menu or opt for the house menu with 4 or 5 courses and enjoy various tasters. It's also possible to share a delicious High Tea together. What's more, an authentic Dutch hotchpotch buffet is served during the winter months, from October until March.
